THE following special order, made by the Carrington Road Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Road Boards Act, 1882.”

SPECIAL ORDER passed by the Carrington Road Board at a Special Meeting held on the 12th Day of December, 1899, and confirmed at a Special Meeting held on the 11th Day of January, 1900.
THAT the Carrington Road Board hereby resolves, by way of special order, to readjust the now existing loans of £339 7s. 7d. inscribed in 1887, £129 1s. 4d. inscribed in 1892, and £1,697 3s. 10d. inscribed in 1896, under the provisions of subsection (1) of section 2 of “The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act Amendment Act, 1899,” so that interest shall be paid at the reduced yearly rate of 4½ per centum per annum for the unexpired residue of the original respective terms of the said loans, such readjustment to take effect on the 1st day of February, 1900.

MANAWATU ROAD BOARD.
Special Order.
THAT, for the purpose of the readjustment of the now existing loans obtained under the provisions of the Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, and specified in the Schedule hereto, the Manawatu Road Board do hereby order and authorise the said now-existing loans and the inscribed debt in respect of such loans to be readjusted under the provisions of subsection (1) of section 2 of “The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act Amendment Act, 1899,” for the unexpired period of twenty-six years, such readjustment to take effect on the 1st day of February next. The payments to be made by the Manawatu Road Board on such loans and inscribed debt to be at the rate of £4 10s. per centum per annum, payable half-yearly, during the unexpired period of twenty-six years, as from the 1st day of February aforesaid.
