NOTICE is hereby given that the several parcels of land hereinafter described will be brought under the provisions of “The Land Transfer Act, 1885,” unless caveat be lodged forbidding the same on or before the 20th day of August, 1900.

APPLICATION FOR LICENSE FOR A WATER-RACE.

To the Warden of the Karamea Mining District, at Westport.

PURSUANT to “The Mining Act, 1898,” the undersigned, the Wellington Gold-mining Company (Limited), of Wellington, gold-mining company, hereby apply for a license for a water-race as specified in the Schedule hereto, the course whereof has been duly marked out for the purpose.

Date and number of miner’s right: 17th July, 1899; No. 7646.

Address for service: Care of A. D. Bayfeild, Westport.

Dated at Westport, this 11th day of July, 1900.

Situated on the north side of the Buller River, opposite “Rocklands,” starting at the company’s dam-site and terminating at the claim; also, as tributaries, Gladstone Creek for the length of 21 chains, and No Name Creek 6 chains. The race runs through Sections Nos. 37, 38, 39, and 42, the property of O. and G. Walker, for about 50 or outside 55 chains. Main race 211 chains, course north and south; tributaries 27 chains, course east and west. Main race, company’s dam, known as Lake Fronde; Gladstone Creek, 21 chains, and No Name Creek, 6 chains, from main race. Race already made; cost, £1,700. 4ft. deep, 5 ft. wide; tributaries 2 ft. each way. From dam, forty heads; from tributaries, two each. Mining purposes, sluicing. Twenty-one years.
