Native Land Court Notices

July 19.] THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE. 1393

Native Land Court Notices.

"The Native Land Court Act, 1894."

IN THE NATIVE LAND COURT OF NEW ZEALAND.

In the matter of the succession to the interest of Tatana Torea, deceased, in Awapatiki No. 2A, and of the application of Mihi Tametainui, under section 39 of "The Native Land Court Act, 1894."

WHEREAS the said application was referred by me to the Native Land Court for inquiry and report, and the same has been inquired into and reported on: And whereas the Native Land Court, by its order dated the 7th day of February, 1885, appointed Hirawanu Tapu to succeed to the interest of the said Tatana Torea in the said land: And whereas at the time of the making of the said order the relationship of the said Mihi Tametainui to the said Tatana Torea was unknown to the Court, and her name was consequently omitted from the said order: And whereas it appears that the said Mihi Tametainui was entitled equally with the said Hirawanu Tapu to succeed to the said Tatana Torea:

Now, therefore, for the purpose of rectifying such omission, and in exercise of the power in that behalf vested in me as Chief Judge of the Native Land Court by section 39 aforesaid, I hereby order that the said order of the 7th day of February, 1885, be amended by including the name of the said Mihi Tametainui as one of the successors to the interest of the said Tatana Torea, and that the said interest be held by the said Hirawanu Tapu and Mihi Tametainui in equal shares.

I direct that this order be notified in the Gazette and Kahiti.

As witness my hand, this 11th day of July, 1900.

GEO. B. DAVY, Chief Judge.
