TE AROHA BOROUGH.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Te Aroha Borough Council propose to take, under “The Public Works Act, 1894,” certain land for the construction of Waterworks, and water-rights for the supply of water, for the inhabitants of the Borough of Te Aroha: viz., (1) All that parcel of land, in area approximately 6 acres and 2 roods, being a portion of Section No. 17p, situated in Block IX. of the Aroha Survey District; and (2) all that the right to impound, divert, and use the waters of the Tutumangeo and Tutumangeo Branch Streams traversing the said parcel of land: all as the said parcel of land and water-right are more particularly delineated upon a plan deposited in the office at Te Aroha of the said Borough Council, where such plan is now open for inspection by all persons during reasonable hours.

And notice is hereby further given that all persons affected are required to set forth in writing any well-grounded objections which they may have to the execution of the said works or to the taking of said land and water-right, and to send such writing within forty days from the date hereof to the said Te Aroha Borough Council at their office at Te Aroha.

In the matter of “The Companies Act, 1882”; and in the matter of William Strachan (Limited).

AT an extraordinary general meeting of the above company, duly convened, and held at Dunedin on the 28th day of November, 1899, the following special resolution was duly passed, and at a subsequent extraordinary general meeting of the members of the said company, also duly convened, and held at the same place on the 15th day of December, 1899, the following resolution was duly confirmed:—

“That the company be wound up voluntarily under the provisions of ‘The Companies Act, 1882,’ and the Acts amending the same; and that Edward Withers, of Dunedin, accountant, and Charles John Ronaldson, of Dunedin, accountant, be and they are hereby appointed Liquidators for the purposes of such winding-up.”

BOROUGH OF WOOLSTON.

“THE PUBLIC WORKS ACT, 1894.”

NOTICE is hereby given that the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Woolston intend to take, under the said Act, all that parcel of land in the said borough, being part of R.S. 464, belonging to the “Dixon Estate,” adjoining the Canal Reserve, containing 1 rood 5½ perches, more or less, for the purposes of a street in continuation of Tilford Street to the Canal Reserve Road.

A plan showing the land proposed to be taken may be inspected at the Woolston Borough Council Chambers, in the said borough.

All persons having any objections to the road, or the taking of the said land, must set forth in writing such objections, and send the same to the said Council, at their Chambers, before Saturday, the 17th day of February, 1900.
