NOTICE TO NATIVE OWNERS AND LESSEE OF A MEETING to be held at the RESERVES AGENT'S OFFICE, HAWERA, at 10 o'clock a.m. on Friday, the 1st June, 1900, to fix the Rent for a NEW LEASE to JAMES DAVIDSON of part of the Wharerora Reserve, in the Provincial District of TARANAKI, containing 236 acres 2 roods (more or less), and known as “Otapawa,” being Land comprised in confirmed Lease No. 27.

Whereas the above-named James Davidson has given notice to me, under the provisions of section 8 of “The West Coast Settlement Reserves Act, 1892,” that he desires to obtain under that section a new lease of the land above described; and I consider his application ought to be given effect to: Now, therefore, I do hereby appoint a meeting to take place between the said James Davidson and all the Native owners of the above-described land for the purpose of fixing the rent to be paid for the said land for the first twenty-one years of the new lease; and I fix the Reserves Agent's office, Hawera, as the place where, and Friday, the 1st day of June, 1900, at 10 o'clock in the forenoon, as the time when such meeting shall take place.
