NATIVE LAND COURT NOTICES.

"The Native Land Court Act, 1894."

IN THE NATIVE LAND COURT OF NEW ZEALAND.

In the matter of Sections 1 and 5, Block III., Huiroa ; Section 41, Block XV., Kaupokonui ; Sections 64 and 65, Block III., and Sections 132 and 133, Block IV., Waimate ; and of an application of Titokowaru Taukawa under Section 39 of "The Native Land Court Act, 1894."

WHEREAS on the 19th day of January, 1888, the Native Land Court made orders appointing Hinekamihi and Parekawhia to succeed to the interest of their mother Hana Tamihana, deceased, in the above blocks: And whereas the said orders were made for the purpose of giving effect to the will of the said Hana Tamihana, whereby she devised the said lands to the said Hinekamihi and Parekawhia: And whereas it appears that the said lands were, at the date of the making of the said will and of the death of the said Hana Tamihana inalienable, and that no estate therein passed by the said will: And whereas in making the said orders the Court wrongly decided a point of law:

Now, therefore, for the purpose of rectifying the said error, and in exercise of the powers in that behalf vested in me as Chief Judge of the Native Land Court by Section 39 aforesaid, I hereby order that the said several orders of the Native Land Court be, and the same hereby are, annulled, and in lieu thereof I order and direct that the like orders be issued in the names of the four children of the said Hana Tamihana—namely, Hinekamihi, Parekawhia, Titokowaru Taukawa, and Tungehe—in equal shares.

I direct that this order be notified in the Gazette and Kahiti.

As witness my hand, this 29th day of December, 1899.

GEO. B. DAVY, Chief Judge.

WHEREAS the Native Land Court, by three several orders dated the 7th day of December, 1895, appointed Te Wirihana Heraani to succeed to the interest of Hera Ani Hinetapu Taeotu, deceased, in the above-mentioned blocks: And whereas the Court made its orders as aforesaid in the belief that Te Wirihana Heraani was the only child of the said Hera Ani Hinetapu Taeotu: And whereas it appears that the said Hera Ani Hinetapu Taeotu had no child of that name, but that the said Hera Ani left three children her surviving—viz., Mihi Hera Ani, Paraone Hera Ani, and Pumipi Hera Ani, who are the proper persons to succeed to her interest in the said lands :
