  1. No lessee shall subdivide, sublet, or transfer the land held by him under these regulations, except under and subject to the provisions of Part I. of the said Act.

  2. No lessee shall hold more than one allotment, and such allotment shall be held for his or her sole use and benefit, and not for the use or benefit of any other person whomsoever. No married woman shall be eligible as a selector; but this provision shall not apply to any married woman who may become a transferee under a will or by virtue of an intestacy.

  3. All the provisions of the said Act, so far as applicable, shall extend and apply to the lands affected by these regulations, and to the applications and leases to be made and issued thereunder, and generally to the interests created, and the persons whose rights, liabilities, or interests are thereby affected; and the mention of any particular provision of the said Act shall not be deemed to exclude any other provision of the said Act applicable to the particular case.

IN pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the one-hundred-and-thirteenth section of “The Land Act, 1892,” I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby appoint Tuesday, the sixth day of March, one thousand nine hundred, as the time at which the lands enumerated in the Schedule hereto shall be sold by public auction; and I do hereby fix the prices at which the said lands shall be sold as those mentioned in the said Schedule hereto opposite the description of such lands respectively.

IN pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the one-hundred-and-thirteenth section of “The Land Act, 1892,” I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby appoint Friday, the twenty-third day of February, one thousand nine hundred, as the time at which the land enumerated in the Schedule hereto shall be sold by public auction; and I do hereby fix the price at which the said land shall be sold as that mentioned in the said Schedule hereto.


SCHEDULE.

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.

Whangarei Survey District, Whangarei County.

SECTION 16, Block VII., 490 acres; total upset price, £372. Part open and part bush; broken land. The bush contains about 137 green and scorched kauri-trees, or about 450,000 sup. ft. One mile from Kiripaka Post-office and twelve miles from Whangarei, on Ngunguru Main Road.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this twenty-seventh day of December, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-nine.

Notifying Lands in Auckland for Sale by Public Auction.

SCHEDULE.

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.

Hukerenui Survey District, Whangarei County.

SECTION 4, Block IV., containing 307 acres 2 roods; total upset price, £225.

Forest land, semi-volcanic, of good quality. Contains about 145,000 superficial feet kauri timber. Seven miles and a half from Whakapara Railway-station.

Section 5, Block IV., containing 334 acres; total upset price, £404.

Contains about 484,000 superficial feet green and dry kauri timber, and comprises broken forest land, with a few open fern spurs.

Punakitere Survey District, Hokianga County.

Section 4A, Block I., 516 acres; total upset price, £681.

Contains about 1,105,000 superficial feet kauri timber and some totara, and comprises one-third fern land, balance heavy forest; well watered by streams flowing into Taheke or Waima River. The timber can be easily got out. Situated from two to three miles from Taheke.

Whangaroa Survey District, Whangaroa County.

Section 1, Block IX., 281 acres; total upset price, £120 5s.

Contains about 100,000 superficial feet kauri, and comprises broken land and mixed forest. Situated two miles from Whangaroa Harbour, at head of the Tauranga Stream.

Makarau Parish, Waitemata County.

Section 129, 76 acres 2 roods 10 perches; total upset price, £77.

Contains about 50,000 superficial feet kauri timber, and comprises two-thirds broken forest land (over which a fire has passed), and balance open land; well watered by Waitangi Stream.

Maketu Survey District, Tauranga County.

Section 64, Block II., 9 acres 1 rood; total upset price, £10.

Chiefly raupo and wiwi swamp, on main road near Te Puke.
