visions of “The Land Transfer Act, 1885,” unless caveat
be lodged forbidding the same on or before the 9th day of
April, 1900.

Section 1032, containing 16¹⁄₁₀ perches, and that part of
Sections 1030 and 1032 adjoining Angus Avenue on the

2923. DANIEL JAMES JONES.—1 rood 24⁵⁄₁₀ perches,
part Suburban Section 21, Wanganui. Part occupied by
tenants, and part unoccupied.
2951. WILLIAM GEORGE WHITE and ETTY ANN
ALLARD LUCENA.—1 rood 22⁴⁄₁₀ perches, part Section 1,

RESULT of poll taken on the 1st February, 1900, on the
proposal to adopt “The Rating on Unimproved Value
Act, 1896” :—
Number of voters entitled to vote, 600, representing 725
votes.
Number of ratepayers who voted for the proposal, 102,
representing 149 votes.
Number of ratepayers who voted against the proposal, 21.
Informal, 1.
As a majority of those voting recorded their votes in
favour of the above proposal, I hereby declare the proposal
carried.
The declaration previously advertised, being in error, is
hereby revoked.

AT an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders of
the above company held on 23rd February, 1900, the
following special resolution was confirmed :—
- “That the company be wound up voluntarily.”
- “That John Rutherford Blair be appointed Liquidator
of the company.”

PATENT OFFICE SUPPLEMENT.
A SPECIAL Supplement to the New Zealand Gazette is
now published fortnightly, containing all notices con-
cerning patents and trade-marks required by law to be
gazetted; also, particulars of lapsed applications for patents,
expired letters patent, and other information useful to in-
ventors, manufacturers, and others. The Supplement will
be issued free to subscribers to the Gazette, and to others on
payment of a subscription of ten shillings per annum, pay-
able in advance to the Government Printer.
THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.
SUBSCRIPTIONS.—The subscription is at the rate of
30s. per annum, PAYABLE IN ADVANCE. A less period
than three months cannot be subscribed for.
Single copies of the Gazette, 6d. each.
Advertisements are charged at the rate of 6d. per line for
the first insertion, and 3d. per line for the second and any
subsequent insertion.
Statements under the Mining Act are uniformly charged
23s.
All advertisements should be written on one side of the
paper, and signatures, &c., should be written in a legible
hand.

The number of insertions required must be written across
the face of the advertisement.
The New Zealand Gazette is published on Thursday evening
in each week, and notices for insertion must be received by
the Government Printer before three o’clock of the day
preceding publication.
Communications should be addressed to the Government
Printer, Wellington, to whom post-office money-orders
should be made payable. Cheques should be crossed
“Public a/c,” and exchange added.
Postage- or duty-stamps cannot be received in payment
from any place at which postal notes or post-office orders
are issued.
Prepayment may be demanded in any case. In order to
prevent delay in publication a sufficient remittance should
accompany every advertisement. Any surplus will be re-
turned with receipted account.
