Declaring State Forests in the Land Districts of Auckland and Hawke's Bay.

A PROCLAMATION.
BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by “The New Zealand State Forests Act, 1885,” and of every other power and authority enabling me in that behalf, I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, do hereby set apart the forest land described in the Schedule hereto, forming part of the Crown lands in New Zealand, as and for State forests within the provisions of the said Act.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that parcel of land in the Auckland and Hawke’s Bay Land Districts, containing 134,204 acres, more or less, and situated in the Survey Districts of Whangaparaoa West, Raukumara West, Raukumara East, Hikurangi, Maungawaru, and Haparapara. Bounded generally on the north by Native land, the Waikura River, the Te Kumi No. 2 Block, and the Waikura Block; on the north-east and east by the Wairongomai Block, the Ohinepoutea Block, the Raparapiriki No. 2 Block, the Ahiaparua Block, the Mangaparahi Block, the Honokawa Nos. 2, 3, 4, and 5 Blocks, the Tapuwaeroa Nos. 2c, 2b, and 2a Blocks/Sections 1 and 2 of Block I., and Section 2 of Block V., Mata Survey District; Sections 2, 3, and 4 of Block VIII., Hikurangi; the northern boundary of Section 1, Block XI., Hikurangi Survey District; a line bearing west 25° south from the north-west corner of the last-mentioned section to the Mangaokura No. 1 Block; the northern portion of the Mangaokura No. 1 Block aforesaid, and a line bearing west 8° south from a point on the south-west boundary of the last-mentioned block, distant about 140 chains from its southern extremity, to the eastern boundary of the Maungawaru Block; on the south-west by the Maungawaru Block; on the west and north-west by the Motu River, the Puketauhinu Nos. 2A, 2, and 2B Blocks, and by Native land.
All that parcel of land in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, containing 1,250 acres, more or less, situated in the Ngatapa Survey District. Bounded generally on the north and north-east by Crown land; on the south-east by Pastoral Run No. 47; and on the south-west by the Tahora 2c 3, Section 2 Block.
All that parcel of land in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, containing about 26,386 acres, more or less, situated in the Kaweka Survey District. Bounded generally on the north-west and north by the Tapapa Nos. 1, 2, and 3 Blocks and the Mohaka River; on the east by Pastoral Runs Nos. 11 and 13; on the south by Pastoral Run No. 14; and on the south-west by the Ngaruroro River.
All that parcel of land in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, containing 941 acres, more or less, situated in the Kuri-papango Survey District. Bounded on the north, west, and south-west by the Ngaruroro River, and on the east by Pastoral Run No. 14.
All that parcel of land in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, containing 10,450 acres, more or less, situated in the Ngaruroro and Wakarara Survey Districts. Bounded on the north-west by the Te Koau Block; on the east by Pastoral Run No. 12, Blocks Nos. 79, 71, and 76; on the west by a Forest Reserve and the Awarua Block.
All that parcel of land in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, containing 1,700 acres, more or less, situated in the Makaretu Survey District. Bounded on the north by a forest reserve; on the south-east by the Rakautatahi Block; on the south-west by the Ngamako Block; and on the north-west by the summit of the Ruahine Range.
All that parcel of land in the Hawke’s Bay Land District containing 5,225 acres, more or less, being a portion of the Piripiri or Manawatu No. 2 Block, and of the Umutaoroa Block, situated in the Norsewood Survey District. Bounded generally on the north-east by the Te Ohu or Manawatu No. 3 Block; on the east by the other portion of the Piripiri or Manawatu No. 2 Block aforesaid, and by Sections 17, 9, 8, 7, 4, and 3 of Block VIII., Norsewood Survey District; on the south-west by the Tamaki No. 4 Block; and on the north-west by the summit of the Ruahine Range.
All that parcel of land in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, containing 620 acres, more or less, being a portion of the Tamaki No. 1 Block, situated in the Norsewood Survey District. Bounded on the north east by the Tamaki No. 4 Block; on the south-east by other portion of Tamaki No. 1 Block aforesaid; on the south-west by Tamaki No. 2 Block; and on the north-west by the summit of the Ruahine Range.
All that parcel of land in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, containing about 8,704 acres, being a portion of the Maharahara Block, situated in the Woodville Survey District. Bounded on the north-east by the Tamaki No. 5 Block; on the east by Sections 1, 2, 3, and 4, Block XVII., Woodville Survey District, and Sections 6, 2, and 4, Block XV., Woodville Survey District; on the south by Section 10, Block XVI., Woodville Survey District; and on the west generally by the summit of the Ruahine Range.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly; Knight Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George; Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this fifth day of February, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred.
