"THE FAMILY HOMES PROTECTION ACT, 1895."

HEREBY give notice that John Hay, of Middlemarch, Carpenter, has made application under the provisions of "The Family Homes Protection Act, 1895," to have the land described in his said application, situate at Arden, in the Provincial District of Otago, registered as a “family home”; and that the same will be registered accordingly unless caveat forbidding the same be lodged with me, at the District Lands Registry Office, Dunedin, by some person claiming to be a creditor of the applicant within the time limited for that purpose by the said Act.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.
MR. M. W. RICHMOND, having been appointed Law Lecturer at the Victoria College, Wellington, is retiring from practice as a Solicitor, and will in future practise as Counsel only, at the Alliance Chambers, Grey Street, Wellington.
The Partnership heretofore existing between the undersigned as Barristers and Solicitors, under the style of “Martin and Richmond,” has in consequence been dissolved by mutual consent as from the 18th day of January, 1900.
The business of the late firm will be carried on by Mr. T. F. MARTIN in his own name and on his own account, at the offices of the late firm, 27, Featherston Street, Wellington, and he will respectively receive and pay all moneys owing to or by the late firm.

As the number of ratepayers who voted failed to represent one-third of the total number of ratepayers on the roll, I have to declare the proposal rejected.
