IT is hereby notified that the under-mentioned pastoral
lands will be submitted to public auction at the Crown
Lands Office, Dunedin, on Tuesday, the 27th day of Febru-
ary, 1900, at 11 a.m.

PASTORAL LANDS

(Under Part VI. of “The Land Act, 1892”.)

Run 212a (Class II.), Tuapeka County: Area, 1,654 acres;
term, fourteen years; upset annual rental, £27: situated
one mile to the east of Dusky Hill, and five miles north of
Kelso Railway-station.

Run 51 (Class II.), Tuapeka County: Area, 6,450 acres;
term, fourteen years; upset annual rental, £80: situated on
south side of Waipori River, one mile west of Waipori
Township.

Run 51b (Class II.), Tuapeka County: Area, 1,400 acres;
term, fourteen years; upset annual rental, £25: situated
between Run 51 on the north-east and Waitahuna River on
the south-west.

Run 51c (Class II.), Tuapeka County: Area, 1,400 acres;
term, fourteen years; upset annual rental, £25: situated
between Run 51b on the north and Waitahuna River on the
south-west, three miles south of Waipori Township.

Runs 179, 163, and 163a (grouped), (Class I.), Tuapeka
County: Area, 16,200 acres; term, twenty-one years; upset
annual rental, £180: situated on Clutha River, three miles
below Dunkeld, and including northern slopes of Tapanui
Mountains.

Runs 479 and 480 (Class I.), Tuapeka County: Area, 8,000
acres; term, twenty-one years; upset annual rental, £45:
situated three miles west of Roxburgh, and lying between
northern spur of Mount Benger on the east and Pomahaka
River on the west.

Sections 40 to 43, Block I., Crookston District, and Run
178 (Class I.), Tuapeka County: Area, 2,120 acres; term,
fourteen years; upset annual rental, £25: situated on the
west bank of the Clutha River, two miles below Dunkeld.

Run 96 (Class I.), Clutha County: Area, 2,900 acres;
term, fourteen years; upset annual rental, £50: situated
four miles south of Warepa Railway-station, and lying
between Kaihiku Range on the north and Kaihiku Stream
on the south.

Run 96a (Class I.), Clutha County: Area, 1,970 acres;
term, fourteen years; upset annual rental, £35: adjoining
the above-mentioned Run 96 on the west.

Runs 308a, 261f, and 261g (grouped), (Class I.), Maniototo
and Vincent Counties: Area, 21,360 acres; term, fourteen
years; upset annual rental, £400: situated seven miles west
of Hamiltons, and lying between Upper Taieri River on
the east and over Rough Ridge to Poolburn on the west.

Section 3, Block XVII., Greenvale District (Class II.),
Tuapeka County: Area, 320 acres; term, fourteen years;
upset annual rental, £5: adjoining Run 212a on the east,
before described.

Run 37, Wakatipu (Class I.), Lake County: Area, 261
acres; term, fourteen years; upset annual rental, £5:
situated immediately opposite Arrowtown Extension, across
Arrow River.

Run 38, Wakatipu (Class I.), Lake County: Area, 274
acres; term, fourteen years; upset annual rental, £10;
adjacent to and south of Run 37, described above.

Section 7, Block III., Catlin’s District (Class I.), Clutha
County: Area, 726 acres; term, fourteen years; upset
annual rental, £6: situated five miles north-west from
Glenomaru Railway-station, at head of Glenomaru Stream.

Sections 47 and 48, Block I., Crookston District (Class I.),
Tuapeka County: Area, 566 acres; term, fourteen years;
upset annual rental, £7: situated one mile and a half north-
west from Dunkeld (Beaumont).

Sections 1 to 5, Block XVI., and 45 and 46, Block I.,
Crookston District (Class I.), Tuapeka County: Area, 1,529
acres; term, fourteen years; upset annual rental, £19:
situated one mile and a half west of Dunkeld (Beaumont).

Sections 3 and 4, Block XV., Crookston District (Class I.),
Tuapeka County: Area, 393 acres; term, fourteen years;
upset annual rental, £5: situated five miles north of Dun-
keld (Beaumont).

Sections 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, and 15, Block XV., Crookston
District (Class I.), Tuapeka County: Area, 1,051 acres;
term, fourteen years; upset annual rental, £13: situated
two miles north of Beaumont (Dunkeld).

Section 1, Block VIII., Silver Peak District (Class II.),
Taieri County: Area, 2,118 acres; term, fourteen years;
upset annual rental, £75: situated five miles up Three-
o’clock Creek from Hindon Railway-station.

Sections 79 to 94, Block II., Earnslaw District (Class I.),
Lake County: Area, 836 acres; term, twenty-one years;
upset annual rental, £1: situated seven miles from Glen-
orchy, up Rees River.

Run 51a (Class II.), Tuapeka and Bruce Counties: Area,
10,460 acres; term, twenty-one years; upset annual rental,
£150: situated about four miles west of Berwick, between
Waipori River and the Meggat Burn.

Run 140a (Class I.), Tuapeka County: Area, 5,794 acres;
term, twenty-one years; upset annual rental, £40: situated
about two miles west of Pomahaka Railway-station.

Possession will be given on 1st of March, 1901.

Valuations for improvements in respect of the above runs
must be paid to the Receiver of Land Revenue, Dunedin,
before the licensee will be let into possession.

Such valuations shall, exclusive of the value of a rabbit-
proof fence, in no case exceed three times the amount of the
average annual rental paid under the expired or expiring
license during the term thereof, and five times such amount
in cases where the annual rental does not exceed £50.

The above runs will be sold generally in accordance with
the provisions of Part VI. of “The Land Act, 1892.”

Purchasers must deposit statutory declarations required
by section 62 of “The Land Act, 1892,” and pay the first half-
year’s rent, together with license-fee (£1 1s.), on fall of the
hammer.

Glynn Wye Run, Amuri County, Canterbury Land District,
for Lease by Public Auction.

District Lands and Survey Office,
Christchurch, 16th January, 1900.

NOTICE is hereby given that the under-mentioned
pastoral run will be offered for lease by public
auction, at the District Lands and Survey Office, Christ-
church, on Tuesday, the 27th day of February, 1900, at
11 a.m.

SCHEDULE.

CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT.—AMURI COUNTY.

Run No. 233, Glynn Wye Station: 192,000 acres; upset
rental, £550 per annum; term, 10 years.

Possession will be given on the 1st March, 1901.

This run is situated near the western boundary of the
Amuri County, and comprises nearly the whole of the water-
shed of the Boyle River, with its tributaries the Lewis,
Doubtful, and Hope Rivers, down to the junction of the
Boyle with the Waiau River. It consists of high, moun-
tainous country, with large areas of forest, intersected by
narrow but well-grassed valleys, with glades and open
spurs running down into them. The elevation varies from
2,000 ft. to 6,500 ft. above sea-level. The purchaser of the
license (other than the present holder) must, before being
admitted to possession of the run on 1st March, 1901, pay
to the Receiver of Land Revenue the amount of the valua-
tion of about twenty-one miles of rabbit-proof fencing. He
will also be required to either pay to the Crown during the
period of currency of the license an annual sum of £170,
payable by half-yearly instalments on the 1st day of March
and the 1st day of September in each year, for the proper
maintenance of the said fencing, or to furnish, prior to the
1st March, 1901, a satisfactory bond and guarantee for
such maintenance during his occupancy of the run. A
reserve one chain wide is reserved over all public tracks in
this run, whether the reserves are shown on the sale-plan or
not. The Government also reserves the right to resume,
without compensation, at any time during the currency of
the license, or to use without resumption, as may be re-
quired, an area of 20 acres adjacent to each of the hot
springs in the Upper Hope and Lewis Valleys, together with
all necessary rights of access thereto.

Lease of a Public Reserve at Moeraki, Otago Land District.

NOTICE is hereby given that a lease of the under-
mentioned lands will be submitted to public auction
under the provisions of “The Public Reserves Act, 1881,”
at the Crown Lands Office, Dunedin, on Wednesday, the
21st day of February, 1900:—

Part Section 76, Block IV., Moeraki District: Area, 4 acres
(approximate); upset annual rental, £1 5s.; term of lease,
fourteen years.
