Taraire Kauri-gum Reserve.
All that area in the Auckland Land District, being
Section No. 61 of the Parish of Kaeo, containing by ad-
measurement 47 acres 1 rood 4 perches, more or less.
Bounded towards the north-east by Section No. 62 of the
Parish of Kaeo; towards the south-east by a public road;
towards the south by a public road; and towards the north-
west by a public road to the point of commencement.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this twenty-
ninth day of January, 1900.
Present:
THE RIGHT HONOURABLE R. J. SEDDON PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by “The Kauri-gum Industry Act, 1898”
(hereinafter termed “the said Act”), it is enacted
that the Governor in Council is authorised under the said
Act to set apart any specified area of Crown lands within a
kauri-gum district to be kauri-gum reserves under the said
Act: And whereas it is expedient to create and set apart
the kauri-gum reserve hereinafter mentioned:
Now, therefore, I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly,
the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance
and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon me
by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and con-
sent of the Executive Council of the said colony, do hereby
set apart the area of Crown land described in the Schedule
hereto as a kauri-gum reserve, with the name set over the
description of such reserve in the said Schedule.
SCHEDULE.
WHANGAREI COUNTY.
MANGAKAHIA Kauri-gum Reserve Extension: 1,100 acres.
For Mangakahia and Purua settlers.
Mangakahia Kauri-gum Reserve Extension.
All that area in the Auckland Land District, situate in
Block VIII., Mangakahia Survey District, and containing
by admeasurement 1,100 acres, more or less. Bounded
towards the north-east by a public road; towards the east
by the eastern boundary of Block VIII., Mangakahia Survey
District; towards the south by the southern boundary of
the same block; and towards the north-west by the Aponga
State Forest Reserve to the point of commencement.

Extending Time for holding Elections, &c., Wakanui River
Board.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this twenty-
ninth day of January, 1900.

THE RIGHT HONOURABLE R. J. SEDDON PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by the twenty-seventh section of “The
River Boards Act, 1884,” it is enacted that on the
second Tuesday in January, one thousand eight hundred
and eighty-five, and on the same day in every third year
thereafter, all the members of the Board shall go out of
office, and a general election of members shall take place:
And whereas by misadventure no election was held on the
second Tuesday in January, one thousand nine hundred
(being the day upon which an election should have been
held), to elect members of the Wakanui River Board:
And whereas, by the forty-third section of the said Act,
it is enacted, among other things, that the Governor, by
Order in Council notified in the Gazette, may extend the
time allowed for the holding of any election or meeting of
the Board, whether the day may have passed on which the
same ought to have been held or not: And whereas it is
expedient that the neglect to hold such election as aforesaid
should be remedied:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the
Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of all
powers enabling him in this behalf, and with the advice and
consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth
hereby extend the time for holding the election of mem-
bers of the Wakanui River Board to the fifteenth day of
February, one thousand nine hundred, and doth hereby
order and declare that such election shall take place at the
School-room at Wakanui; that Alfred Augustus Fooks shall
be the Returning Officer to conduct such election; and that
the first meeting of the said Board shall take place at the
River Board Office, at Ashburton, on the seventeenth day of
February next, at the hour of two in the afternoon; and,
lastly, that the provisions of “The Regulation of Local
Elections Act, 1876,” so far as applicable, shall extend to
the election to be held hereunder.

Revoking the Delegation of Powers under “The Cemeteries
Act, 1885,” to the Coromandel County Council.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty
ninth day of January, 1900.

THE RIGHT HONOURABLE R. J. SEDDON PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by an Order in Council issued on the
twenty-sixth day of November, one thousand eight
hundred and ninety-four, the powers conferred upon the
Governor by section six of “The Cemeteries Act, 1882,” as
to the appointment or removal of trustees, were delegated to
the Coromandel County Council in respect to the cemeteries
described in the Schedule to the said Order in Council:
And whereas it is expedient to revoke the said delegation:
Now, therefore, His Excellency Uchter John Mark, Earl
of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand,
in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
enabling him in that behalf, and by and with the advice and
consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth
hereby revoke the delegation to the Coromandel County
Council of the powers conferred upon the Governor by sec-
tion 6 of “The Cemeteries Act, 1882,” as to the appoint-
ment and removal of Trustees for the cemeteries described
in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
WHITIANGA CEMETERY.
All that piece or parcel of land in the Auckland Land Dis-
trict, containing by admeasurement 4 acres, more or less,
situated in the County of Coromandel, being portion of a
block of land containing by admeasurement 3,580 acres,
granted to Ranulph Dacre by grant bearing date the 19th
day of January, 1864, and registered in the Deeds Register
Office at Auckland as No. 286b, as the same is more par-
ticularly delineated on the plan on deed of 23rd May, 1893,
Register No. 124120.
BUFFALO CEMETERY.
All those parcels of land in the Auckland Land District
being Sections Nos. 33 and 33A of the Village of Buffalo, con-
taining by admeasurement 4 acres 2 roods 31 perches, more
or less:—
Section No. 33, containing 2 acres 2 roods 6 perches.
Bounded towards the north by Section No. 17, Parish of
Kapanga, 700 and 40 links; towards the south-east by a
public road, 13, 309, 405, and 185 links; and towards the
west by a public road, 570 links.
Section No. 33A, containing 2 acres and 25 perches. Bounded
towards the north by old land-claim grant to C. Ring,
570 links; towards the east by a public road, 297 links;
towards the south by a public road, 556 links; and towards
the west by Sections Nos. 10 and 7 and the termination of a
public road, 191 and 275 links: be all the aforesaid linkages
more or less.
CABBAGE BAY CEMETERY.
All that parcel of land in the Auckland Land District,
containing by admeasurement 10 acres, more or less, being
Section No. 15, Block V., Harataunga Survey District.
Bounded on the north by a line, 919 links; towards the east
by the Moehau No. 3E 3 Block, 682 links; towards the south
by a road, 14, 403, 250, 180, 297, and 80 links; and towards
the west by a line, 1110 links: be all the aforesaid linkages
more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan deposited
in the office of the Chief Surveyor, Auckland.
