Mining Notice.

UNDER “THE MINING ACT, 1898.”

APPLICATION FOR LICENSE FOR A WATER-RACE.

To the Warden of the Otago Mining District, at Gore.

PURSUANT to “The Mining Act, 1898,” the undersigned, the Croydon Gold-dredging Company (Limited), hereby applies for a license for a water-race as specified in the Schedule hereto, the course whereof has been duly marked out for the purpose.

Date and number of miner’s right: 22/1/1900; No. 381.

Address for service: Care of J. Dickson, Croydon Goldfield.

Dated at Gore, this 26th day of November, 1900.

Locality of the Race, and of its Starting and Terminal Points. Length and Intended Course of Race. Points of Intake on the Estimated Time and Cost of Construction. Mean Depth and Breadth. Number of Heads to be diverted. Purpose for which Water is to be used. Proposed Term of License.
Hokonui Survey District, commencing on the Peel Creek above the point where the road to Winton crosses the said creek, and terminating at the claims of the applicant in the Otago Mining District at Croydon, adjoining Section 848, Hokonui Survey District. Twenty miles; east and west. Peel Creek, 4 heads; Gordon Creek, 6 heads; Coneburn Creek, 6 heads; and 4 out of the first tributary on the western side of the Coneburn. Two years; £2,500. 4 ft. by 5 ft. 6 in. Twenty heads. To work by hydraulic elevating and dredging the special claims of the applicant, containing 50 acres. Twenty-one years.

Land Transfer Act Notices.

APPLICATION having been made to me by ALEXANDER BROWN, of Waipuku, Farmer, for the issue to him of a provisional certificate of title for part Sections 15 and 16, Block 9, Huiroa Survey District, contained in certificate of title, Vol. xxxi., folio 164, and a statutory declaration having been lodged with me of the loss of such certificate, I hereby give notice that I shall issue the provisional certificate of title as requested at the expiration of fourteen days after the date of the Gazette containing this notice, unless in the meantime a caveat be lodged forbidding the same.
