APPLICATION FOR WATER-RACE.

To the Warden of the Otago Mining District, at Lawrence.

PURSUANT to “The Mining Act, 1898,” the undersigned John Tyson, of Rongahere, Sawmill-proprietor, hereby applies for a license for a water-race, as specified in the Schedule hereto, the course whereof has been duly marked out for the purpose.

Address for service: The office of F. G. Dalziell, Solicitor, Lawrence.

Date and number of miner’s right: 3rd March, 1899; No. 2307.

Dated this 23rd day of October, 1899.

SCHEDULE.

Locality of the Race, and of its Starting and Terminal Points. Proposed Term of License. Length and Intended Course of Race. Estimated Time and Cost of Construction. Mean Depth and Breadth. Number of Heads to be diverted. Purpose for which Water is to be used.
At Tuapeka Mouth, on the west bank of the Molyneux River, commencing on the north bank of Sandy Creek about a mile from the junction of that creek with the said river, and terminating at the upper end of prospecting license applied for by applicant this day. Forty-two years. About 1½ miles; course, northerly. Three months. 1 ft. 6 in.; 2 ft. 6 in. Ten. For the purpose of working a special dredging claim on said land applied for as prospecting area.

Whole race in applicant’s freehold land. Forty-two years. Forty-five chains; easterly. Already constructed. Depth, 1 ft.; breadth, 3 ft. Four. For driving machinery for chaff-cutting, corn-crushing, &c.
