THE following notice, received from the Chairman of the Manganui Road Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1886.”

MANGANUI ROAD BOARD.
RESULT of poll of ratepayers of the Makuri Road Special Rating District, taken on Wednesday, 8th November, 1899, upon the proposal to raise a loan of £300, under “The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886,” for the purpose of felling, stumping, forming, and bridging two streams on the Makuri Road, from the western boundary of Section 24, Block XV., Huiroa, to the end of the present formation on Makuri Road West; to pay out of such loan the cost of raising it; to strike as security on this loan a special rate of 1d. in the pound over the following sections: Sections 10, 11, 12, 13, 15, Block XI., Sections 23, 24, Block XV., Huiroa Survey District:—
Number of ratepayers on special roll, 3; number of votes exercisable, 5: Number of votes recorded for the proposal, 5.
I therefore declare the proposal carried.

THE following special order, made by the Waiwakaiho Road Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Road Boards Act, 1882.”

COPY OF SPECIAL ORDER.
THAT, for the purpose of providing the interest and other annual charges on a loan of £400 for forming and metalling on the Alfred Road, authorised to be raised by the Board under “The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886,” the Board does hereby make and levy a special rate of 1½d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property comprised in the Alfred Road Special Rating District No. 2, which is hereby constituted to include the following lands: viz., Section 206 (part of Section 62), part of Section 64 (100 acres), Sections 69, 76, 84, 88, 114, 119, 120, 137, 138, 139, 146, parts of Sections 70, 71, 72, 73, 74, 75, 85, 86, 87, 115, 116, 117, 118, 141, 142, 143, 144, 145, and 164, Hua and Waiwakaiho District; and Sections 1 and 2, Block VI., Egmont, and 21, 22, 23, and 24, Block VII., Egmont: such rate to be an annual-recurring rate for a period of twenty-six years, and to be payable in one sum at the office of the Board on the 1st day of September of each year.
I certify the above to be a true copy of the special order passed on the 21st day of March, 1899, and made by the Waiwakaiho Road Board on the 25th day of April, 1899, in accordance with “The Road Boards Act, 1882.”
