SCHEDULE.
ALL that parcel of land in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 9 acres 3 roods 24 perches, more or less, being Block X, Taihape Township. Bounded towards the north-east by a public road, 100 links wide; towards the south-east by Weka Street, 100 links wide; towards the south-west by a public road, 100 links wide; and towards the north-west by Tui Street, 100 links wide: as the same is delineated on the plan deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor, Wellington. Also,—
All those several parcels of land in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 97 acres 1 rood 23 perches, more or less, being Sections Nos. 35, 38, 39, 40, 41, 42, 43, and 44, Suburban, Taihape Township: as the same are delineated on the plan deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor, Wellington.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this twentieth day of November, 1899.
Present:
His Excellency the Governor in Council.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by “The Public Domains Act, 1881,” His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council thereof, doth hereby revoke a certain Order in Council, dated the tenth day of October, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-eight, making delegation of certain powers in manner as therein appears; and doth hereby, with the like advice and consent, and in respect of the land hereinafter mentioned, delegate all the powers conferred by the said Act, except the powers conferred by sections five and twelve thereof, for the period of ten years from the date hereof (unless previously altered or revoked under the said Act), to the under-mentioned persons, who shall be known as the Eketauna Domain Board, namely,—
FRANCIS CALISAN TURNOR, Eketauna, Farmer;
FRANK DEARING PELLING, Eketauna, Hotelkeeper;
JOHN HENRY MURRAY-AVNSLEY, Eketauna, Surgeon, &c.;
ERNEST OTTO FRIEDRICH VON REDEN, Eketauna, Sheep-farmer; and
ALFRED HENRY HERBERT, Eketauna, Storekeeper
(herein referred to as “the Board”), subject to the stipulations hereinafter contained, that is to say,—

The Board shall meet for the transaction of business on the last Saturday in each month, at three o’clock p.m., at Pelling’s Hall, Eketauna, or at such other time or place as may from time to time be fixed by the Board. The first meeting shall be held on Saturday, the thirtieth day of December, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-nine.

Special meetings may be convened by the Chairman or by any two members of the Board, provided that two days’ notice of such meeting be given to each member, specifying the business to be transacted at such special meeting; and no other business than that so specified shall be transacted at such meeting.

Any three members of the Board shall form a quorum. Any meeting may be adjourned from time to time.

The members of the Board shall, at their first meeting, and thereafter at an annual meeting to be held on the last Saturday in January in every succeeding year thereafter, elect one of themselves to be Chairman, who may join in the discussion, and shall have an original as well as a casting vote. The Chairman shall hold office until the election of his successor.

The Board shall prepare and submit at each annual meeting a report of the proceedings of the Board for the previous year ending on the thirty-first day of December, together with a statement of the receipts and expenditure of the Board for such year. A copy of every such report and statement, certified by the Chairman to be correct, shall be sent to the Minister of Lands as soon as possible after each annual meeting.

If at any meeting the Chairman is not present at the time appointed for holding the same, the members present shall choose some one of their number to be chairman of such meeting.

If, by resignation, death, or incapacity, or otherwise, the office of Chairman shall be or become vacant, the members may at any monthly or special meeting appoint a Chairman.

All questions shall be determined by the majority of votes of the members of the Board present at a meeting.
And with the like advice and consent as aforesaid doth hereby also order that this delegation shall take effect in respect of the parcel of Crown lands described in the Schedule hereto.

ALL that parcel of land in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 5 acres 3 roods 19 perches, more or less, being Section No. 40p, Block VI., Mangaone Survey District. Bounded towards the north-east by Section No. 39; towards the east by Section No. 40c (Cottage-hospital Reserve); towards the south by a public road; and towards the west by Section No. 40 (Cemetery Reserve).

Rural Lands in the Wellington Land District open for Selection on Lease in Perpetuity.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by “The Land for Settlements Act, 1894,” and the one-hundred-and-thirty-sixth section of “The Land Act, 1892,” I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, having received the report of the Surveyor-General in this behalf, as in the said one-hundred-and-thirty-sixth section is provided, do hereby declare that the rural lands enumerated in the Schedule hereto shall be open for selection on and after the twenty-seventh day of December, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-nine, and that the said lands may be selected on lease in perpetuity, subject to the provisions of “The Land Act, 1892,” and I do hereby declare that the rental at which the said lands shall be leased shall be that mentioned in the said Schedule hereto opposite the description of such lands.
