HAWKE’S BAY COUNTY COUNCIL.

LAND REQUIRED FOR GRAVEL-PIT.

PURSUANT to the provisions of “The Public Works Act, 1894,” it is hereby notified that the Hawke’s Bay County Council require the land described hereunder for the purpose of a gravel-pit. A plan marked 126, showing position of the same, will be open for public inspection at the Taradale Hotel, Taradale, near Napier, Hawke’s Bay, at all reasonable hours, for a period of forty days from the date hereof. All persons affected by the taking of the land are hereby called upon to set forth in writing any well-grounded objections thereto, and to serve the same upon the County Clerk, at Napier, before the expiration of forty days from the date hereof.

Description of Land.

All that piece or parcel of land, containing by admeasurement 1 acre and 34 perches, more or less, situate in the Heretainga Survey District, and being Subdivision 1 of Waiohiki 1e Block. Commencing at a point on the eastern side of the Napier-Omahu Road distant 198·8 links in a south-easterly direction from diagonal road-peg xv.; thence bounded on the north-west and south-west by other portion of Waiohiki No. 1e Block, lines bearing 66° 19′, 336·2 links, and 321° 52′, 573·8 links; again on the north-west by the Tutaekuri River; and on the north-east, south-east, and south-west by other portion of Waiohiki 1e Block, lines bearing 141° 52′, 315 links, 231° 52′, 285·7 links, and 321° 52′, 155 links, to the commencing-point: all as shown on a plan marked 126, and therein edged pink, now on view for a period of forty days from this date at the Taradale Hotel aforesaid.

FOR Deaf Children of sound intellect. The pupils are taught to use and understand ordinary speech. The best age for entrance is between six and seven.

The full charge for board and education is £40 a year, but less is accepted from parents who cannot afford to pay this amount. In case of necessity admission is free.
