Defining the Purpose of a Reserve in the Township of Seddonville.

RANFURLY, Governor.

WHEREAS the provisions and the requirements of the seventh section of “The Public Reserves Act, 1881,” have been duly complied with in respect of the land described in the Schedule hereto: And whereas notices in the Gazette have been duly published for four consecutive weeks, and laid before both Houses of the Assembly, as provided by the ninth section of the said Act: And whereas no resolution of either House of Assembly has been passed that such House does not concur in the intention declared in any such notice:

Now, therefore, I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Act aforesaid, do hereby define the specific purpose of the reserve described in the Schedule hereto to be a site for the house of the Railway Stationmaster.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that parcel of land in the Nelson Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 rood 26 perches, more or less, being Section No. 130 of the Township of Seddonville.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this twenty-eighth day of January, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-nine.

Fixing Sittings of the Nelson District Court.

RANFURLY, Governor.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority in this behalf enabling me, I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby fix and appoint that sittings of the Nelson District Court, for civil and criminal business, shall be held as follows, from and after the first day of February next, in lieu of those previously fixed and appointed:—

NELSON DISTRICT.

In the Courthouse, Nelson: For civil business only, on the fourth Wednesday in the month of January, and the third Wednesday in the months of April, June, September, and November, at 11 a.m.; and for civil and criminal business, on the third Wednesday in the months of February, May, August, and October, at 11 a.m.

Provided that in case any of the days so fixed as aforesaid shall happen to be a holiday, then the Court appointed for that day shall be holden on the first day thereafter not being a holiday.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this twenty-eighth day of January, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-nine.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by “The Special Powers and Contracts Act, 1883,” I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby appoint

FRANCIS WILLIAM PYNE

to be a trustee of Allotment 144A of Section 1, Parish of Mangatawhiri, Auckland Land District, in the place of Richard Hobbs, who has resigned.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this twenty-eighth day of January, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-nine.

Trustees appointed for the Maintenance of the Ohaupo Public Cemetery.

RANFURLY, Governor.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the forty-fifth section of “The Cemeteries Act, 1882,” I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby appoint the local authority specified in the first column of the Schedule hereto to have the control and management of the public cemetery specified in the second column of the said Schedule.

The Waipa County Council OHAUPO.
All that parcel of land in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 7 acres 2 roods, more or less, being Section No. 192B, Parish of Ngaroto, commencing at the south-western corner of Section No. 192. Bounded towards the north by Section No. 192 aforesaid, 750 links; towards the east and south-east by a road, 53, 231, and 1214 links; towards the south-west by a road, 322 links; and towards the west by a road, 1171 links, to the commencing-point: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this twenty-eighth day of January, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-nine.

Appointing a Trustee for the Petane Public Cemetery.

RANFURLY, Governor.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the sixth section of “The Cemeteries Act, 1882,” I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby appoint

GILBERT MATHEW CLARK

to be a Trustee, in the place of Charles Villers, resigned, to provide for the maintenance and care of the Petane Public Cemetery, in conjunction with the other persons previously appointed by warrants under the hand of His Excellency the Governor.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this twenty-eighth day of January, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-nine.

Officer under “The Fisheries Conservation Act, 1884,” Hawke’s Bay District, appointed.

IT is hereby notified that, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred by section 9 of “The Fisheries Conservation Act, 1884,”

CHARLES ORD TANNER

has been appointed an officer for the purposes of that Act for the Counties of Hawke’s Bay, Waipawa, Patangata, and Wairoa, and for all boroughs situated within the said counties.
