Withdrawing Land in the Taranaki Land District from Special Settlement.

A PROCLAMATION.

I N pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the one-hundred-and-sixty-second section of “The Land Act, 1892,” I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby declare that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the Proclamation of the twenty-seventh day of February, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-six, by His Excellency the Governor, setting apart land for special settlement, shall be and the same is hereby revoked in so far as it relates to the sections of land mentioned in the Schedule hereto.

Land taken for a Road in the Parish of Waipa, Whaingaroa Survey District, Raglan County.

A PROCLAMATION.

W HEREAS the lands mentioned in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken, under “The Public Works Act, 1894,” for a certain work, to wit, the construction of a road in the Parish of Waipa, Whaingaroa Survey District:

And whereas the Raglan County Council has laid before the Governor the memorial, accompanied by a map, and also the statutory declaration, required by the said Act:

Now, therefore, I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities in me vested by “The Public Works Act, 1894,” and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in that behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that, from and after the date of the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, the lands mentioned in the Schedule hereto are hereby taken for the purpose of constructing the said road.
