I, THE undersigned, hereby make application to register
the Maori Gold-dredging Company (Limited) as a
limited company under the provisions of “The Mining
Companies Act, 1894.”
- The name of the company is to be the Maori Gold-
dredging Company (Limited). - The place of operations is on the Clutha River, near
Cromwell. - The registered office of the company will be situated at
Melmore Terrace, Cromwell. - The nominal capital of the company is five thousand
three hundred pounds, in five thousand three hundred
shares of one pound each. - The number of shares subscribed for is five thousand
three hundred, being not less than two-thirds of the entire
number of shares in the company. - The number of paid-up shares is three hundred.
- The amount already paid up is thirteen shillings per
share. - The name of the Manager is George Stumbles.
- The names, and addresses, and occupations of the

In the matter of “The Companies Act, 1882,” and its
amendments; and in the matter of the Mokau Coal-
mines Syndicate (Limited).
NOTICE is hereby given that a petition for the winding-
up of the above-named company by the Supreme
Court was, on the 5th day of September, 1899, presented to
Mr. Justice Conolly, a Judge of the Supreme Court, by
Arthur Wilding Ogle, Thomas Elliot, and James Bayly,
all of Waitara, trading together as Coal Merchants, under
the name and style of “Bayly, Ogle, and Co.,” creditors of
the said company; and the said petition is directed to be
heard before a Judge of the said Court at the Supreme
Court House, New Plymouth, on the 27th day of September,
1899, at 11 o’clock in the forenoon, or so soon thereafter as
counsel can be heard, and any creditor or contributory of
the said company desirous of opposing the making of an
order for the winding-up of the said company under the
above Act should appear at the time of hearing, by himself
or his counsel, for that purpose; and a copy of the petition
will be furnished to any creditor or contributor of the said
company requiring the same by the undersigned, on payment
of the regulated charge for the same.
