manner as therein appears; and doth, with the like advice and consent, by this present Order, delegate, but only with respect to the pieces or parcels of land described in the Schedule hereto, all the powers conferred by the Act aforesaid, except the powers under or conferred by sections five and twelve thereof, to the under-mentioned persons, who shall be known as the Hunterville Domain Board, namely,—
JAMES ARTHUR PAWSON,
JOHN H. NORRIS,
WILLIAM MELDRUM,
ALEXANDER HOWIE WILSON,
HENRY VALDER,
HARRY SUTCLIFFE,
ALEXANDER ROSS,
STEPHEN BROOKER, and
FREDERIC MARSHALL
(hereinafter referred to as “the Board”), subject to the stipulations hereinafter contained, that is to say,—

The Board shall meet for the transaction of business on the second Wednesday in each month, at eight o’clock p.m., at Hunterville, or at such other time or place as may from time to time be fixed by the Board. The first meeting shall be held on Wednesday, the eighth day of February, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-nine.

Special meetings may be convened by the Chairman or by any two members of the Board, provided that two days’ notice of such meeting be given to each member, specifying the business to be transacted at such special meeting, and no other business than that so specified shall be transacted at such meeting.

Any three of the said Board shall form a quorum. Any meeting may be adjourned from time to time.

The members of the Board shall, at their first meeting, and thereafter at an annual meeting to be held on the second Wednesday in January in every succeeding year thereafter, elect one of themselves to be Chairman, who may join in the discussion, and shall have an original as well as a casting vote. The Chairman shall hold office until the election of his successor.

If at any meeting the Chairman is not present at the time appointed for holding the same, the members present shall choose some one of their number to be chairman of such meeting.

If, by resignation, death, or incapacity, or otherwise, the office of Chairman shall be or become vacant, the members may at any monthly or special meeting appoint a Chairman.

All questions shall be determined by the majority of votes of the members of the Board present at a meeting.

SCHEDULE.
ALL that parcel of land in the Land District of Wellington, containing by admeasurement 9 acres 1 rood 4 perches, more or less, being Sections Nos. 17, 18, 25, 26, 33, and 54, Hunterville, Ongo Survey District. Bounded on the north by Sections Nos. 121, 122, and 10, 1000 links; on the east by a public road, 1024 links; on the south by a public road, 1018 links; and on the west by Section No. 53, 832 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan deposited in the District Survey Office, Wellington.
All that parcel of land in the Land District of Wellington, containing by admeasurement 17 acres 3 roods 8 perches, more or less, being Section No. 35, Block XV., Tiriraukawa Survey District. Bounded on the north by a public road, 1970 links; on the south-east by Section No. 25, 735 links; on the south-west by Poukiore No. 1 Block, 1866 links; and on the north-west by Section No. 36, 821 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan deposited in the District Survey Office, Wellington.

Notice of Intention to change the Purpose of a Reserve in the Auckland Land District.

RANFURLY, Governor.
WHEREAS by “The Public Reserves Act, 1881,” it is, amongst other things, enacted that the Governor may declare his intention to make, change, exchange, or alter the dedication of any public reserve now or hereafter vested in Her Majesty or the Governor for any of the purposes named in Class II. of the Schedule to the said Act, whether the same be granted or not; if it shall, in the opinion of the Governor, be expedient to change the purpose of such reserve or any part thereof from the purpose or presumed purpose for which it was set apart to any other purpose, or if it shall, in the opinion of the Governor, be expedient to exchange any of the land comprised in such reserve for other land of equal value, to be dedicated to one or more purposes named in the said Class II., the Governor may, by notice gazetted, declare his intention to make such change, exchange, or dedication, as the case may be, and in such notice declare the manner and terms in which the same is intended to be so made:
Now, therefore, I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by “The Public Reserves Act, 1881,” aforesaid, declare my intention to change the specific purpose of the reserve described in the Schedule hereto from a public-hall site to a site for a Mechanics’ Institute and Athenæum.

SCHEDULE.
ALL that parcel of land in the Auckland Land District, being part of Section No. 3 of the Parish of Mangapai, and containing by admeasurement 3 roods, more or less. Bounded towards the north by a public road, 392 links; towards the east by a public road, 192 links; and towards the south and west by other portion of Section No. 3 of the Parish of Mangapai, 438 and 182 links respectively, to the point of commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor this twentieth day of January, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-nine.

WHEREAS application has been made to the Governor by the owners of the land described in the Schedule hereto, praying that the restrictions on the alienation of such land contained in the Native Land Court certificate of title bearing date the twentieth day of November, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-three, and now contained in partition order of the Native Land Court bearing date the first day of November, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-seven, may be removed: And whereas inquiry has been duly made by the Native Land Court, and the said Court has recommended that such restrictions be removed:
