Land in Kanieri Survey District set apart for the Deposit of Tailings in connection with Mining Operations.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is required to be set apart, under “The Public Works Act, 1894,” for a certain public work, to wit, the deposit of tailings in connection with mining operations:

Now, therefore, I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities in me vested by “The Public Works Act, 1894,” and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart for the deposit of tailings in connection with mining operations.

SCHEDULE.

The several parcels of land mentioned in list hereunder :—

All in the Land District of Westland; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 18545, deposited in the office of the Minister for Public Works, at Wellington, in the Provincial District of Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly; Knight Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George; Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this tenth day of July, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ninety-nine.

Additional Land taken in Taylor Pass Survey District for the Purposes of the Picton-Hurunui Railway.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS it has been found desirable for the use, convenience, and enjoyment of the Picton-Hurunui Railway to take further land in Taylor Pass Survey District, in addition to land previously acquired for the purposes of the said railway:

Now, therefore, I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by sections twenty-eight and one hundred and sixty-seven of “The Public Works Act, 1894,” and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is taken for the purposes above mentioned.
