"The Native Land Court Act, 1894."

IN THE NATIVE LAND COURT OF NEW ZEALAND.

In the matter of the Pakarikari Block, and of the application of Hohua te Apa under section 39 of "The Native Land Court Act, 1894."

WHEREAS the said application has been inquired into and reported on by the Native Land Court sitting at Kawhia :
And whereas it appears that the persons named in the Schedule hereto, being the persons referred to in the said application, have the same rights in the said block as many of the persons who were admitted by the Court as owners thereof at the time of the partition of the Kawhia Block, of which the said Pakarikari Block is a part: And whereas there is reason to believe that the Court intended to include as owners of the said Pakarikari Block all persons entitled under the rights aforesaid, but that the persons named in the Schedule were not known to the Court at the time of the said partition, and were omitted in error:
Now, therefore, for the purpose of remedying the said omission, and in exercise of the power vested in me as Chief Judge by section 39 aforesaid, I hereby order that the order of the Court ascertaining the title to the Pakarikari Block be amended by adding the names of the persons mentioned in the Schedule as owners of the said block.
I direct that this order be published in the Gazette and Kahiti.
As witness my hand, this 4th day of July, 1899.

IN THE NATIVE LAND COURT OF NEW ZEALAND.

In the matter of the Ngatitupaea No. 7 Block, and of an application by Te Putaka under section 39 of "The Native Land Court Act, 1894."

WHEREAS the above application was referred by me to the Native Land Court for inquiry and report, and the same has been duly inquired into and reported on: And whereas it appears that the Court by its order dated the 1st day of May, 1890, appointed Te Rangihiramaí to succeed to the interest of Te Ika Tereanui in the said block: And whereas the said Te Rangihiramaí appeared before the Court and admitted that the said Te Putaka was the person rightfully entitled to succeed to the interest of the said Te Ika Tereanui:
Now, therefore, for the purpose of remedying the said error, and in exercise of the power in that behalf vested in me as Chief Judge of the said Court by section 39 aforesaid, I hereby order that the said order of the 1st day of May, 1890, be and the same hereby is annulled, and that the said Te Putaka be appointed in place of the said Te Rangihiramaí to succeed to the interest of the said Te Ika Tereanui in Ngatitupaea No. 7: Provided that if the said Te Rangihiramaí shall desire to object to the making of this order she shall be at liberty to do so by appeal duly lodged with the Registrar of the Court at Wellington, within two months from the date of the publication hereof in the Gazette and Kahiti.

IN THE NATIVE LAND COURT OF NEW ZEALAND.

In the matter of Maungatautari 5A 1, and of an application, under section 39 of "The Native Land Court Act, 1894," to have the name of Watea Kaukiuta added to the list of owners in the said block.

WHEREAS the said application has been referred to the Native Land Court for inquiry and report, and the same has been duly inquired into and reported on: And whereas it appears that the name of the said Watea Kaukiuta was included in the original list of names for the Maungatautari Block: And whereas the Court has reported that the said Watea Kaukiuta ought to be included as an owner in Maungatautari 5A 1, and that his name had been wrongfully omitted therefrom:
Now, therefore, for the purpose of rectifying the said omission, and in exercise of the power in that behalf vested in me as Chief Judge of the said Court by section 39 of "The Native Land Court Act, 1894," I hereby order that the order of the Court ascertaining the title to Maungatautari No. 5A 1 be amended by adding to the list of names therein the name of the said Watea Kaukiuta.
I direct that this order be published in the Gazette and Kahiti.
As witness my hand, this 6th day of July, 1899.
