Improvements of the values stated have been effected on each section: Section 15, Block IV., £107 12s. 6d.; Section 19, Block IV., £251 11s. 1d.; Section 20, Block IV., £119 14s.; Section 17, Block VIII., £564 11s. 9d.: which is payable with the application, or immediately the result of the ballot is declared.

Valuation for improvements (fencing), amounting to £315 8s., must be paid to the Receiver of Land Revenue, Invercargill, before possession is given.

The section is situated on the Manawatu River, near the main road between Foxton and Shannon, the access being from Foxton, which is about seven miles and a half distant by dray-road. The section is open, and mostly in grass. The soil is alluvial, of rich quality, and rests on a shingle formation. It is well watered.
