Pastoral Runs, Otago Land District, for Lease by Public Auction.

NOTICE is hereby given that the under-mentioned pastoral lands will be submitted to public auction, at the Crown Lands Office, Dunedin, on Monday, the 27th day of February, 1899.

PASTORAL LANDS.

(Under Part VI. of “The Land Act, 1892.”)

Runs 72 and 72A (grouped), Clutha County: Area, 8,503 acres; term, 14 years; upset annual rental, £106 5s. 9d; valuation for improvements, £154 5s. Pastoral country, fairly well grassed and watered; situated about ten miles from Kaihiku Railway-station. Possession 1st of March, 1899.

Sections 1, Block X., and 3, Block XI., Domet; 1, Block X., and 2, Block XIII., Kyeburn; and 2, Block I., Kakanui District, Waitaki County: Area, 9,640 acres; term, 14 years; upset annual rental, £30; valuation for improvements, £259 7s. High pastoral country, well watered. Situated about sixteen miles from Duntron. Possession, 1st March, 1899.

Run 492, Lake County: Area, 16,900 acres; term, 21 years; upset annual rental, £5. This run is situated on Awarua or Big Bay, at the north-west corner of the Provincial District of Otago. Possession on day of sale.

The above runs will be sold generally in accordance with the provisions of Part VI. of “The Land Act, 1892.”

Purchasers must deposit a statutory declaration required by section 62 of “The Land Act, 1892,” and pay the sum of the half-year’s rent, valuation for improvements (if any), and license-fee on the fall of the hammer.

PASTORAL LANDS.

Runs 337 and 337A, Lake County: Area, 49,540 acres; term, twenty-one years; upset annual rental, £15. Situated on north-western shore of Lake Wanaka, about thirteen miles from Pembroke by water; watered by Minaret and Estuary Burns; altitude, from 950 ft. to 7,100 ft. above sea-level.

Runs 458 and 468, Lake County: Area, 57,400 acres; term, fourteen years; upset annual rental, £5. Lying at the head of Matukituki Valley, and extending to summit of Mount Aspiring; altitude, 1,100 ft. to 9,900 ft.; watered by west branch of Matukituki River.

Runs 346B, 346C, and Sections 9 and 11 to 17, Block III., Dart District, Lake County: Area, 2,809 acres; term, fourteen years; upset annual rental, £13; valuation for improvements, £19. Situated between the Dart River and Diamond Lake, about five miles north of Kinloch; altitude, 1,200 ft. to 4,000 ft.

Run 244D, Vincent County: Area, 1,298 acres; term, fourteen years; upset annual rental, £9; valuation for improvements, £99 5s. Part of the old Galloway Run. Situated about two miles west of Ophir.

Run 428, Tuapeka and Southland Counties: Area, 9,770 acres; term, twenty-one years; upset annual rental, £5. Situated between the head of the Waikai Bush and the Old Man Range, about eight miles north-west of Roxburgh.

Sections 76 and 77, Block IV., Table Hill District, Bruce County: Area, 176 acres 1 rood 35 perches; term, fourteen years; upset annual rental, £2 4s.; valuation for improvements, £55 2s. 6d. Situated on the Lawrence-Milton Railway-line, about half a mile north of Manuka Station.

Sections 13, 14, 15, and 17, Block VII., Table Hill District, Bruce County: Area, 700 acres and 24 perches; term, fourteen years; upset annual rental, £8 15s.; valuation for improvements, £86 8s. 9d. Situated about three miles north-east of Manuka Railway-station on the Lawrence-Milton line; highest point, 1,350 ft.

Possession will be given on day of sale, with the exception of Run 244D, possession of which will be given on 1st of March, 1899.

The above runs will be sold generally in accordance with the provisions of Part VI. of “The Land Act, 1892.”

NOTICE is hereby given that leases of the under-mentioned small grazing-runs will be open for application, at this office, on Monday, the 27th February, 1899, at the half-yearly rental noted opposite each run.

Subdivisions of the Stoneburn runs, containing pastoral land of an undulating character; well watered; accessible from Macrae’s, Palmerston, Nenthorn, and Dunback. The railway-station at the last-named township lies about six miles distant. Valuation for improvements, payable with application or immediately the result of the ballot is declared: Runs 121D and 121F, £514 7s. 6d.; Run 121H, £391 10s. Valuation will also be allowed for a crop of turnips and grass on Run 121H, valuation of which will be made fourteen days before the day of sale. Possession of Run 121H will be given on 1st March, 1899.

CLUTHA COUNTY.
