Special Order made by the Grey County Council altering Boundaries of certain Ridings.

THE following special order, made by the Grey County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Counties Act, 1886.”

GREY COUNTY COUNCIL.
Alterations of Boundaries of Ridings.
Copy of Special Order made by the Grey County Council on the 15th Day of March, 1899.

RESOLVED, That the boundaries of Maori Creek Riding, in the County of Grey, be altered as follows: Commencing at a point at the intersection of the present boundaries of Marsden, Paroa, and Maori Creek Ridings; thence in a southerly direction to a point at the junction of Mosquito Creek with the New River; thence in a southerly direction to the top of the watershed lying between Mosquito Creek and Irishman’s Creek; thence along such watershed to the point of intersection of the present boundaries of Hohonu and Maori Creek Ridings; thence along its present boundaries to the point of commencement.

Resolved, That the boundaries of Paroa Riding, in the County of Grey, be altered as follows: Commencing at a point at the sea-coast due west from the New River railway-bridge; thence in a straight line to the said railway-bridge; thence following the course of the New River to the junction of the left-hand branch of the said river at Marsden; thence following its present boundaries to the point of commencement at the sea-coast.

Resolved, That the boundaries of Marsden Riding, in the County of Grey, be altered as follows: Commencing at a point at the sea-coast due west from the New River railway-bridge; thence in a straight line to the said bridge; thence following the course of the New River to the junction of the left-hand branch of said river at Marsden; thence along said left-hand branch to the point of intersection of the present boundaries of the Ridings of Paroa, Maori Creek, and Marsden; thence in a southerly direction to the junction of Mosquito Creek and the New River; thence in a southerly direction to the top of watershed lying between Mosquito Creek and Irishman’s Creek, and following along such watershed to a point at the intersection of the present boundaries of Marsden and Hohonu Ridings; thence in a southerly direction along its present boundary to the junction of Greenstone and Teremakau Rivers; thence along the Teremakau River to the sea-coast; thence along the sea-coast to the point of commencement due west from the New River railway-bridge.
Resolved, That the three foregoing resolutions be adopted as a special order.
Resolved, That a subsequent meeting to confirm the foregoing special order be held on Monday, the 17th day of April, 1899, at 11.30 a.m.
I certify that the foregoing is a true copy of a special order made by the Grey County Council on the 15th day of March, 1899, and that the same has been duly made in accordance with the Act.

THE following special order, made by the Wirokino Road Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Road Boards Act, 1882.”

WIROKINO ROAD BOARD.
Notice is hereby given that the following special order was made on Saturday, the 18th March, 1899, and confirmed on Saturday, the 22nd April, 1899 :—
“That this Board now make a special rate of 2½d. in the pound on the rateable value of the following properties—viz., part 3E No. 2 (being that part of 3E No. 2 which lies to east of Gladstone Road, and a part lying to the west, making a total area of 200 acres); part 3D No. 2 (being that part of 3D No. 2 which lies north-east of Gladstone Road, and a part lying to the west and south, making a total area of 200 acres); 3E Nos. 3A, 3B, 3C, 3D, 3E, 3F; 3E No. 4; 3E Nos. 5, 5A, 5B; 3D Nos. 3A, 3B, 3C; 3D No. 5; 3C No. 3; 3C No. 4; Subdivisions No. 4, No. 7, No. 8; Horowhenua Block, Sections 5 and 9, Block III., Waiopehu Survey District, all inclusive; the above-mentioned sections constituting the Gladstone Special Rating District—to provide for interest and other annual charges on a loan of £1,750, to be raised under ‘The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886,’ and its amendments, for the purpose of acquiring land for fencing in and constructing a road through the said special district; such rate to be an annually recurring rate for twenty six years, to become due and payable in one instalment on the 1st day of June in each and every succeeding year.”
