A PROCLAMATION.
BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the one-hundred-and-seventy-second section of “The Land Act, 1892,” and of every other power and authority enabling me in that behalf, I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby declare that the lands mentioned in the Schedule hereto shall be subject to the provisions of sections one hundred and seventy-two to one hundred and eighty-six of Part V. of “The Land Act, 1892,” relating to small grazing-runs.

Fixing Date on which “The Divorce Act, 1898,” is to come into Operation.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by a Proclamation bearing date the first day of April, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-nine, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the thirteenth day of April, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-nine, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand did signify and proclaim that a certain Bill passed by the Legislative Council and House of Representatives of the said colony, entitled “An Act to amend the Law of Divorce,” and the Short Title whereof is “The Divorce Act, 1898,” had been laid before Her Majesty in Council, and that Her Majesty had been pleased to assent to the same:
And whereas by section two of the said Act it is provided that such Act shall come into operation on a day to be fixed by the Governor by Proclamation in the Gazette:
Now, therefore, I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of all powers and authorities in this behalf enabling me, do hereby proclaim and declare that the said Act (the Short Title whereof is “The Divorce Act, 1898”) shall come into operation on the first day of June, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-nine.
Given under the hand of Sir James Prendergast, Knight, Chief Justice, for and on behalf of His Excellency the Governor, and as his duly appointed Deputy in and over Her Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this seventeenth day of April, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ninety-nine.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this seventeenth day of April, 1899.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
IN exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in him by “The Public Domains Act, 1881,” His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council thereof, doth hereby revoke a certain Order in Council, dated the fourth day of November, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-seven, making delegation of certain powers in manner as therein appears; and doth, with the like advice and consent, by this present Order, delegate, but only with respect to the piece or parcel of land described in the Schedule hereto, all the powers conferred by the Act aforesaid, except the powers under or conferred by sections five and twelve thereof, to the under-mentioned persons, who shall be known as the Waihoro Park Domain Board, namely,—

ROBERT A. FORBES,
JOHN CAMPBELL CRYER GEBBIE,
REGINALD ORTON BRADLEY, and
ROBERT HEATON RHODES
(herein referred to as “the Board”), subject to the stipulations hereinafter contained, that is to say,—

The Board shall meet for the transaction of business on the second Wednesdays in the months of January, April, July, and October, in each year, at the hour of two o’clock p.m., at No. 215, Hereford Street, Christchurch, or at such other time or place as may from time to time be fixed by the Board. The first meeting shall be held on Wednesday, the twelfth day of July, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-nine.

Special meetings may be convened by the Chairman or by any two members of the Board, provided that two days’ notice of such meeting be given to each member, specifying the business to be transacted at such special meeting; and no other business than that so specified shall be transacted at such meeting.

Any three of the said Board shall form a quorum. Any meeting may be adjourned from time to time.

The members of the Board shall, at their first meeting, and thereafter at an annual meeting to be held on the second Wednesday in January in every succeeding year thereafter, elect one of themselves to be Chairman, who may join in the discussion, and shall have an original as well as a casting vote. The Chairman shall hold office until the election of his successor.
