NOTE.—Very wet weather during the early part of month, especially between 5th and 9th, the maximum fall being 3·53 in. on 6th—heavy floods caused in district; remainder of month fine. Prevailing N.W. and S.E. winds, and generally moderate. Hail fell on night of 8th. Maximum temperature in shade 73°, minimum 44°; mean temperature of dew-point, 49°·6; mean humidity, 68.

Notice published pursuant to the Provisions of Section 15 of “The Public Trust Office Consolidation Act, 1894.”

NOTICE is hereby given that, no person having taken out administration, the Public Trustee has filed in the Office of the Supreme Court at Wellington an election to administer the several intestate estates of the persons deceased whose names, residences, and occupations, so far as known, are hereunder respectively set forth, their gross properties being estimated not to exceed £250 in each case.

William Edward Mitchell, late of Dunedin, in the Provincial District of Otago, labourer. Filed on the 11th day of March, 1899.

Linnoea Lamb Evans, late of Waikari, near Dunedin, in the Provincial District of Otago, spinster. Filed on the 11th day of March, 1899.

Henry James Marsh, late of Wellington, in the Provincial District of Wellington, clerk. Filed on the 9th day of March, 1899.

Notice of Vesting of Land in the Public Trustee under “The Unclaimed Lands Act, 1894.”

WHEREAS I, the undersigned, the Public Trustee, have, for the purposes of “The Unclaimed Lands Act, 1894,” made due inquiries with respect to the lands described in the Schedule hereunder written, and the owner thereof, and have, in respect of the said lands, given the notices prescribed by section 4 of the said Act, and have in all respects complied with the provisions of the said section: And whereas I have not thereby ascertained who the owner is, and believe that such owner is not in the colony, nor has such owner established his title to the said lands, as required by the said Act: I hereby give notice that the said lands are, under and by virtue of the said Act, vested in me, as the Public Trustee as aforesaid, as from the date of the publication hereof, and will be administered under the said Act, the assessed value of the said lands being less than £100.

Dated at Wellington, this 8th day of March, 1899.

SCHEDULE.

All those parcels of land situate in the Parish of Waioeka, in the Provincial District of Auckland: namely, Section 216, containing 50 acres; Section 241, containing 50 acres.

The land is also known as being part of Section 98, Block 2, Arawaru District.
