Declaring State Forests in Wellington Land District.

A PROCLAMATION.
BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by “The New Zealand State Forests Act, 1885,” and of every other power and authority enabling me in that behalf, I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, do hereby set apart the forest lands described in the Schedule hereto, forming part of the Crown lands in New Zealand, as and for State forests within the provisions of the said Act.
SCHEDULE.
WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.
ALL that parcel of land in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 1,998 acres 2 roods, more or less, being Sections Nos. 16, Block I., Kopuaranga, 205 acres; 6, Block IV., Mikimiki, 625 acres; 17A, Block XIII., Mangaone, 379 acres; 7, Block XIV., Tararua, 789 acres 2 roods. Bounded towards the north by Section No. 172, Block XIII., Mangaone Survey District; towards the east by a Native reserve of 1,000 acres, and Section No. 175, Block XIII., Mangaone Survey District; again towards the north by Section No. 175; towards the south-east by Sections Nos. 12, 13, 14, 15, and 17, Block I., Kopuaranga Survey District; towards the south by Section No. 8, Block IV., Mikimiki Survey District; and towards the west by Section No. 5, Block IV., Mikimiki Survey District, Section No. 8, Block XIV., Tararua Survey District, and the Bruce Road: as the same is delineated on the plan deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor, Wellington.
All that parcel of land in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 34 acres, more or less, being Section No. 15, Block VIII., Manganui Survey District. Bounded generally towards the north and east by a public road 100 links wide; towards the south by a road reserved along the Manganui-a-te-ao Stream; and towards the west by the railway-line which forms part of the eastern boundary of Section No. 11: as the same is delineated on the plan deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor, Wellington.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly; Knight Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George; Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-eighth day of February, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ninety-nine.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by the twenty-third section of “The Land Act, 1892,” it is enacted that the Governor, by Proclamation in the Gazette, may from time to time establish and define, abolish, alter, or reconstitute local districts for the sale or disposal of land, and in like manner from time to time may appoint land offices and land officers or other persons for conducting sales of land in such local districts, and for receiving applications for the sale, letting, disposal, or occupation of Crown lands, and for generally carrying into effect the provisions of the said Act:
Now, therefore, I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the district described in the Schedule hereto is hereby established, defined, and constituted a local district for the sale and disposal of land under the said Act, and that the land office the name of which is in the said Schedule set opposite the name of the said local district is appointed the land office for the said local district.
