Rural Lands in the Otago Land District open for Selection on Lease in Perpetuity.
Crown Lands Office, Dunedin, 14th December, 1898.
NOTICE is hereby given that the under-mentioned land will be open for selection on lease in perpetuity on and after Wednesday, 1st March, 1899.
If there be more than one application received for the same section on the same day, then the priority of selection will be decided by ballot, at this office, on the following day, at 11 a.m.

Rural Lands in Canterbury open for Sale or Selection.
District Lands and Survey Office, Christchurch, 31st December, 1898.
THE under-mentioned Crown lands will be open for sale or selection, in terms of section 136 of “The Land Act, 1892,” either for cash, for occupation with right of purchase, or for lease in perpetuity, at the option of the selector, on and after Tuesday, the 21st February, 1899.
If more than one application be received for the sections on the same day, then the order of selection shall be decided by ballot on the following day, at 11 a.m., at the District Lands and Survey Office, Christchurch.

This section is situated between the Rocky Gully and Pareora Rivers, the distance from both Albury and Cave being about twelve miles. It comprises open hilly country, generally rough and rocky, and difficult of access, the whole being of exclusively pastoral character, and liable to heavy falls of snow in winter. Weighted with valuation for improvements as follows: £100, for hut and boundary and subdivision fencing.

This section forms part of the Ashwick Flat Block, lying on the south side of the South Opuha River, about eight miles northward from the Fairlie Terminus Railway-station, and comprises open, flat, stony land of inferior quality. The section is weighted with a valuation of £157 2s. 11d. for improvements, consisting of dwellinghouse, fencing, &c.
