Native Land proposed to be taken for a Road through Kokohuia Block, Hokianga Survey District.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this twenty-sixth day of January, 1899.
Present:
THE HONOURABLE A. J. CADMAN PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken for a public work, to wit, for the purposes of a road in Kokohuia Block, Hokianga Survey District:
And whereas the said land is held or occupied by Native owners under a title which is not derived from the Crown: And whereas a map in duplicate has been prepared of the said land by the Hokianga County Council, as required by the eighty-eighth section of “The Public Works Act, 1894”:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the eighty-eighth section of the said Act, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby declare that the land shown upon such map, and described in the Schedule hereto, shall be deemed to be taken for the purposes of the said road, and the said land shall vest in the Hokianga County Council, as from the sixteenth day of March, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-nine.

Reserving Land in Auckland as an Endowment for Primary Education.
RANFURLY, Governor.
IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon me by the second section of “The Reserves, Endowments, and Crown and Native Lands Exchange, Sale, Disposal, and Enabling Act, 1898,” I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby set apart the land described in the Schedule hereto as an endowment for primary education, in lieu of Section numbered 100, Parish of Whaingaroa, Block VI., Karioi Survey District.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, being the northern portion of Section No. 84 of the Parish of Whaingaroa, containing by admeasurement 160 acres, more or less. Bounded towards the north-east by Section No. 81 of the Parish of Whaingaroa, 4141 links, and by a line, 2378 links; towards the south-east by a line, 2449 links; towards the south-west by a line, 2377 links; and by the southern portion of Section No. 84 of the Parish of Whaingaroa aforesaid, 3992 links; and towards the north-west by a public road, 382, 1480, and 686 links, to the point of commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. For a reserve for primary education.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this eighth day of February, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-nine.

Scale of Fees to be charged for Baths at Nuhaka Hot Springs.
RANFURLY, Governor.
WHEREAS by the two-hundred-and-forty-second section of “The Land Act, 1892,” it is, among other things, enacted that the Governor may from time to time, by notification in the Gazette, make regulations fixing the fees to be charged for the use of any thermal or mineral springs:
And whereas it is expedient to fix the fees to be charged for baths at the Hot Springs, Nuhaka, Hawke’s Bay Land District:
Now, therefore, I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the said recited powers and authorities, and of all other powers and authorities enabling me in this behalf, do, by this notification in the New Zealand Gazette, hereby make the following regulation, that is to say:—
The fee to be charged for a single bath at Nuhaka Hot Springs shall be threepence for each person.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this eighth day of February, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-nine.
