I, ANDREW ROBERT DILLON CARBERY, Licentiate of the Royal College of Surgeons of Dublin, Ireland, Licentiate of the Royal College of Physicians of Dublin, Ireland, and Licentiate in Midwifery of both of the above colleges, now residing at Opunake Road, near Stratford, in the County of Stratford, do hereby give notice that I intend to and will apply, on the 6th day of January, 1899, to the Registrar at New Plymouth to be registered as a duly qualified medical practitioner in the Colony of New Zealand, and that I have deposited in the office of the said Registrar duly certified copies of my respective diplomas as evidence of my qualifications.

SOUTHLAND COUNTY.
LAND TO BE TAKEN FOR A ROAD.
PURSUANT to the provisions of “The Public Works Act, 1894,” it is hereby notified that the Southland County Council require the land described in the Schedule hereto for the purpose of a public road. A plan, marked 27, and description of the same will be open for public inspection at the Council’s Office, Invercargill, at all reasonable hours from date of gazetting of this notice.
All persons affected by the taking of said land are hereby called upon to set forth in writing any well-grounded objections thereto, and to serve the same upon the County Clerk, at Invercargill, before the expiration of forty days from date of the gazetting of this notice.
SCHEDULE.
All that piece or parcel of land, situated in the Provincial District of Southland, containing by admeasurement three roods and thirty-three and four-tenths poles, more or less,
and bounded as follows—namely, by a line commencing at a point 430 links due south from the north-east angle of Section 30, Block XIII., Invercargill Hundred, and running at a bearing of 87° 37′ a distance of 430·2 links or thereabout; thence at a bearing of 61° 14′ a distance of 272·3 links or thereabout; thence at a bearing of 171° 5′ 30″ a distance of 53·2 links or thereabout; thence at a bearing of 241° 14′ a distance of 265·5 links or thereabout; thence at a bearing of 267° 37′ a distance of 567 links or thereabout; thence at a bearing of 290° 6′ a distance of 817 links or thereabout; thence at a bearing of 308° 45′ a distance of 322 links or thereabout; thence at a bearing of 90° a distance of 79·9 links or thereabout; thence at a bearing of 128° 45′ a distance of 251·5 links or thereabout; thence at a bearing of 110° 6′ a distance of 798·9 links or thereabout; thence at a bearing of 87° 37′ a distance of 115·2 links or thereabout, to the commencing-point.

In the matter of “The Companies Act, 1882,” and amendments thereto; and in the matter of the Pulsator Milking-machine Company (Limited).
A T an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders of the above company, duly convened, and held at the registered office, 218, Hereford Street, Christchurch, on Monday, the 5th day of December, 1898, at 4 p.m., the following extraordinary resolution was passed unanimously:—
“That it has been proved to the satisfaction of this meeting that the company cannot, by reason of its liabilities, continue its business; that it is advisable to wind up the same; and accordingly that the company be wound up voluntarily, and that George William Hulme be and is hereby appointed Liquidator for the purpose of such winding-up.”
