Rural Land in the Auckland Land District open for Sale or Selection.

RANFURLY, Governor.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the one-hundred-and-thirty-sixth section of “The Land Act, 1892,” I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, having received the report of the Surveyor-General in this behalf, as in the said section is provided, do hereby declare that the rural land described in the Schedule hereto shall be open for sale or selection on and after the first day of February, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-nine; and also that the land mentioned in the said Schedule may, at the option of the applicant, be purchased for cash, or be selected for occupation with right of purchase or on lease in perpetuity, or, in respect of any land containing or supposed to contain any metal, mineral, or valuable stone, be selected on lease in perpetuity only; and I do hereby also fix the price at which the said land shall be sold, occupied, or leased, as mentioned in the said Schedule hereto, and do declare that the said land shall be sold, occupied, or leased under and subject to the provisions of “The Land Act, 1892.”


SCHEDULE.

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—BAY OF ISLANDS COUNTY.
Unsurveyed Second-class Land.

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District situate in Blocks X., Kerikeri Survey District, and I., Kawakawa Survey District, and containing by admeasurement 3,600 acres, more or less. Bounded towards the north-east by land granted to M. Clarke (Lot 5 of O.L.C. No. 60) and by the Whiringarau Stream; towards the south-east by unadjudicated Native land, by the Waipapa Stream, and by the Rangaunu Block (No. 178, red); towards the south-west by the Waimate–Kaeo Road; and towards the north-west by land granted to J. G. Orsmond (Lot 1 of O.L.C. No. 15), and by the Mangapurerea Stream to the point of commencement: save and except Section No. 3 of Block I., Kawakawa Survey District, from the area hereinbefore described.

Description of land: Open fern and tea-tree land, fronting Waimate–Kaeo Road, about four to seven miles from Waimate.

Cash price, 6s. per acre; occupation with right of purchase, 3·6d. per acre per annum; lease in perpetuity, 2·9d. per acre per annum.

Fixing Sittings of District Courts.

RANFURLY, Governor.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority in this behalf enabling me, I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby fix and appoint that sittings of the District Courts of Ashburton, Timaru and Oamaru, Otago Goldfields, Western Otago, and Westland, for civil and criminal business, shall be held as follows, from and after the first day of January next, in lieu of those previously fixed and appointed:—

Ashburton District.

In the Courthouse, Ashburton, for civil business only, on 10th January, 14th March, 9th May, 11th July, 12th September, and 14th November.

Timaru and Oamaru District.

In the Courthouse, Timaru, for civil business only, on 12th January, 16th March, 11th May, 13th July, and 14th September. For civil and criminal business, on 16th November.

In the Courthouse, Oamaru, for civil business only, on 24th March, 19th May, 22nd September, and 24th November. For civil and criminal business, on 20th January and 21st July.

Otago Goldfields District.

In the Courthouse, Lawrence, for civil and criminal business, on 23rd May and 28th November.

In the Courthouse, Queenstown, for civil and criminal business, on 26th January and 27th July.

In the Courthouse, Naseby, for civil and criminal business, on 29th March and 27th September.

Western Otago District.

In the Courthouse, Invercargill, for civil business only, on 17th January, 21st March, 16th May, 18th July, and 19th September. For civil and criminal business, on 21st November.

Westland District.

In the Courthouse, Westport, for civil business only, on 21st April, 15th August, and 11th December. For civil and criminal business, on 24th February, 13th June, and 28th October.

In the Courthouse, Greymouth, for civil business only, on 11th April, 22nd August, and 15th December. For civil and criminal business, on 17th February, 20th June, and 17th October.

In the Courthouse, Hokitika, for civil business only, on 15th February, 14th April, 30th August, and 25th October. For civil and criminal business, on 26th June and 22nd December.

In the Courthouse, Reefton, for civil business only, on 13th February, 13th April, 22nd June, 24th August, 19th October, and 18th December.

In the Courthouse, Kumara, for civil business only, on 21st February, 18th April, 24th June, 28th August, 23rd October, and 20th December.

Provided that in case any of the days so fixed as aforesaid shall happen to be a holiday, then the Court appointed for that day shall be held on the first day thereafter not being a holiday.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this twenty-sixth day of November, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-eight.

RANFURLY, Governor.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the one-hundred-and-thirty-sixth section of “The Land Act, 1892,” I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, having received the report of the Surveyor-General in this behalf, as in the said section is provided, do hereby declare that the rural lands enumerated in the Schedule hereto shall be open for sale or selection on and after the fifteenth day of February, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-nine; and also that the lands mentioned in the said Schedule may, at the option of the applicant, be purchased for cash, or be selected for occupation with right of purchase or on lease in perpetuity, or, in respect of any land containing or supposed to contain any metal, mineral, or valuable stone, be selected on lease in perpetuity only; and I do hereby also fix the prices at which the said lands shall be sold, occupied, or leased, as mentioned in the said Schedule hereto, and do declare that the said lands shall be sold, occupied, or leased under and subject to the provisions of “The Land Act, 1892.”
