ELECTION OF TRUSTEES.
I HEREBY give notice that the following five (5) candidates for the office of Trustee for the triennial election of the Board of Trustees for the Horse-shoe Land-drainage District have been duly nominated; and, as the number of persons nominated does not exceed the number of Trustees required to fill the vacancies on the Board, I hereby declare the following persons duly elected, viz.:

In the matter of “The Foreign Companies Act, 1884,” and of the China Traders’ Insurance Company (Limited).
IN conformity with and for the purposes of section 7 of the above Act, notice is hereby given that on and after the 21st November, 1898, the Office or place of business of the China Traders’ Insurance Company (Limited) in Wellington will be in Customhouse Quay, at the offices of Messrs. W. M. Bannatyne and Co., instead of in Imperial Chambers, Featherston Street.

NOTICE is hereby given that a General Meeting of the above company will be held on the 15th day of December, 1898, at 3 o’clock in the afternoon, at the office of William Tosswill, of Pahiatua, Solicitor.
Business: For the purpose of receiving and considering accounts in connection with the winding-up of the above company, and hearing any explanation thereof that may be required.

FOR Deaf Children of sound intellect. The pupils are taught to use and understand ordinary speech. The best age for entrance is between six and seven.
The full charge for board and education is £40 a year, but less is accepted from parents who cannot afford to pay this amount. In case of necessity admission is free.
Parents having dumb children between the ages of four and seven, and other persons desiring information with regard to the school, are invited to apply to
