Defining the Middle Line of Further Portion of the Helensville Northwards Railway, Tahekeroa Section.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS an extension of the Helensville Northwards Railway is a railway specified in the Schedule to “The Railways Authorisation Act, 1894,” and which Act is, in the third section thereof, declared to be a special Act authorising the construction of such extension; and such extension is unfinished, and it has been determined to construct and maintain a further portion of the same:
Now, therefore, I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred on me by the aforesaid section three of “The Railways Authorisation Act, 1894,” and by sections one hundred and sixty-six and one hundred and sixty-seven of “The Public Works Act, 1894,” and in exercise of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the middle line of the said further portion of the said railway shall be as defined and set forth in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
COMMENCING at a point in Section 69, Parish of Makarau, distant about 7 chains in a southerly direction from the westernmost corner of Section No. 34, which point of commencement is also the termination of the Makarau Section of the said railway, as described in a Proclamation dated the 19th day of December, 1889, and published in the New Zealand Gazette, No. 1, of 2nd January, 1890; proceeding thence generally in a north-easterly direction for a distance of about 3 miles 37 chains, and passing in, into, through, or over the following lands—namely, Section No. 69, western portion of Section No. 34, south-western and north-eastern portions of Section No. 35, Section No. 54, reserve, south-eastern and north-eastern portions of Section No.*36, southern and northern portions of Section No. 52, Sections Nos. 51, 47, 50, 184, 175, and 185—and terminating at a point in said Section No. 185 distant about 4 chains in an easterly direction from the prolongation for about 22 chains in a northerly direction of the line forming the easternmost boundary of Section No. 175 aforesaid; all in the Parish of Makarau, County of Waitemata, including all adjoining and intervening places, lands, reserves, roads, rivers, streams, and watercourses: in the manner delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 16568, a copy of which has been deposited in the office of the Registrar of the Supreme Court at Auckland, in the Provincial District of Auckland.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly; Knight Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George; Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-seventh day of October, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ninety-eight.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by the second section of “The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act Amendment Act, 1891” (herein termed “the said Act”), it is, amongst other things, enacted that, before certain moneys therein mentioned shall be expended upon any block of land, it shall be necessary that the same be proclaimed as set apart for settlement:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of every power and authority enabling me in this behalf, and for the purposes of the said Act, I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim the block of land described in the Schedule hereto as set apart for settlement.

As the same are delineated upon the plan marked as above mentioned, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon edged with red.
