Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly; Knight Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George; Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-fourth day of October, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ninety-eight.

Proclaiming the Taking of Land for a Road in Section 48, Momona Estate.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers conferred by section thirteen of “The Land Act, 1892,” and its amendments, I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, with the consent of the lessees of the land hereinafter mentioned, and with the consent of the Taieri County Council, being the local authority in whose district the said land is situated, do by this notice hereby proclaim as a road the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto.


SCHEDULE.

The parcel of land mentioned in list hereunder:—

In the Otago Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked as above noted, deposited in the District Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Dunedin, in the Otago Land District, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.

Lands taken for a Road through Section 40, Omata District.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the lands mentioned in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken, under “The Public Works Act, 1894,” for a certain work, to wit, the construction of a road:

And whereas the Taranaki County Council has laid before the Governor the memorial, together with the statutory declaration, accompanied by a map, required by the said Act:

Now, therefore, I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities in me vested by “The Public Works Act, 1894,” and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in that behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that, from and after the date of the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, the lands mentioned in the Schedule hereto are hereby taken for the purposes of the construction of the said road.
