NOTICE is hereby given that application has been made to a Judge of the Court for a certificate under section 55 of “The Native Land Court Act, 1894,” confirming the alienation hereunder specified. All objections to the granting of such certificate must be lodged with me within fourteen days from the publication of this notice.

"The Native Land Court Act, 1894."

IN THE NATIVE LAND COURT, NEW ZEALAND, WELLINGTON DISTRICT.

AT a sitting of the Court held at Hastings this 24th day of September, 1898, before David Scannell, Esq., a Judge of the said Court, and Nikorima Poutotara, Assessor, under the provisions of “The Native Land Court Act, 1894,” section 122.

Whereas application has been made to the said Court by the owners of the blocks of land known as Pohokura Blocks Nos. 4A, 4B, 5, 6A, 6B, 6C, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12, containing by admeasurement 39,000 acres, more or less—bounded on the north-east by Heruiwi No. 4 Block; on the south-east by Pohokura No. 2 Block; on the south by the Tatarakina Block; and on the west by Pohokura No. 3 Block, Runanga No. 1A Block, Runanga No. 18 Block, and the Pukahunui No. 2 Block and Pohokura No. 13 Block; the names of the owners of the said Pohokura Blocks Nos. 4A, 4B, 5, 6A, 6B, 6C, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12, being set out in the Schedule hereto—to constitute the owners of the said Pohokura Blocks a body corporate:

And whereas, after due investigation and inquiry in open Court, and the Court being satisfied that a majority of the owners of the said blocks have consented to such incorporation, and that the said blocks can be dealt with to the advantage of the owners thereof by such constitution:

It is hereby ordered that the owners of the said Pohokura Blocks Nos. 4A, 4B, 5, 6A, 6B, 6C, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12, be constituted a body corporate with a perpetual succession and a common seal by the name “The Proprietors of the Pohokura Blocks numbered 4A, 4B, 5, 6A, 6B, 6C, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12.” And it is further ordered that a general meeting of the owners of the said blocks be held at Tarawera on the 26th day of October, 1898, at 12 o’clock noon, for the purpose of electing a committee.
