for mining purposes, commencing at the tank near the termination of the present water-race in the Hape Creek, and continuing down the same creek for a distance of about 23 chains, and terminating at a point in the said creek near the public road.
The length of such race is 23 chains or thereabouts, and its intended course is south-westerly.
The extension applied for is more particularly shown on plan lodged in the Warden’s office with this application.
The mean depth of such race is 1ft. 6 in., and the mean breadth is 2 ft.; and it is proposed to divert the two Government heads of water authorised by the said License No. 94.
Cost of construction: £250.
Time required for construction: Six months.
Number and date of miner’s right: 6918; 13th January, 1898.

THE Partnership hitherto existing between FULBERT ARCHER, ARTHUR CHARLES NOTTINGHAM, and EDWARD MARRIOTT BOULTON, under the style of “F. Archer and Co.,” at Christchurch, as General Merchants, has been dissolved by mutual consent as from this date.
The business will be continued until further notice under the style of “F. Archer and Co.,” by the said Arthur Charles Nottingham, who will receive all moneys and pay all liabilities under the said Partnership.

NOTICE is hereby given that all creditors and others having claims against the above estate are required to send in to the Executors of the Will of the above-named John Fleming, addressed to them at the office in Market Place, Blenheim, of Richard McCallum, solicitor, and in writing, on or before the 15th day of November, 1898, full particulars of such claims, giving the items and amounts of the same.
This notice is given in pursuance of a Judge’s order made in the Supreme Court of New Zealand, Nelson District, at Blenheim, on the 6th day of October, 1898, which directs that this notice shall be advertised during the month of October, 1898, in two separate issues of the New Zealand Government Gazette and in six separate issues of the Marlborough Express newspaper.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR ROAD.
NOTICE is hereby given that the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken under the provisions of “The Public Works Act, 1894,” for a certain public work, to wit, the construction of a road known as the “Tui Track,” in the County of Ohinemuri; and notice is further given that the plan of the said land is deposited in the office of the Ohinemuri County Council at Paeroa, and at the Post-office at Te Aroha, and is there open for inspection, and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Ohinemuri County Council, Paeroa.

PUBLIC notice is hereby given, in accordance with the provisions of “The Public Works Act, 1894,” that it is proposed to take the two parcels of land as herein described for the purposes of road-improvement:—

All that parcel of land, being part of R.S. 195, Block I., Okain’s Survey District, containing fourteen and one-half perches, be it more or less, as the same is delineated and coloured green on the plan deposited for inspection at the office of the Okain’s Road Board, Okain’s Bay.

All that parcel of land [forming portion of the school-ground], being part of the same Section No. 195, containing seven perches, be it more or less, as the same is delineated and coloured red on the above-mentioned plan. Any persons affected by the taking of the aforesaid lands must lodge their objections (if any) with me within forty days from the publication of this notice.
