I, THE undersigned, hereby make application to register the Republic Sluicing Company (Limited) as a limited company under the provisions of “The Mining Companies Act, 1894.”

  1. The name of the company is to be the Republic Sluicing Company (Limited).

  2. The place of operations is at Healey’s Gully, in the County of Grey.

  3. The registered office of the company will be situated at Post Office Hotel, Tainui Street, Greymouth.

  4. The nominal capital of the company is fifteen thousand pounds, in twenty-four thousand shares of twelve shillings and sixpence each.

  5. The number of shares subscribed for is twenty-two thousand, being not less than two-thirds of the entire number of shares in the company.

  6. The amount of paid-up shares is nil.

  7. The amount already paid up is eleven thousand pounds.

  8. The name of the Manager is Henry Bignell.

A GENERAL Meeting of shareholders of the above company will be held at the company’s office, Perry Street, Masterton, on Monday, the 28th day of November, 1898, at 3 o’clock p.m., for the purpose of having an account laid before them showing the manner in which the winding-up of the company has been conducted and its property disposed of, and to hear any explanation that may be given by me as Liquidator with reference thereto.

SUBSCRIPTIONS.—The subscription is at the rate of 30s. per annum, PAYABLE IN ADVANCE. A less period than three months cannot be subscribed for.

Single copies of the Gazette, 6d. each.

Advertisements are charged at the rate of 6d. per line for the first insertion and 3d. per line for the second and any subsequent insertion.

Statements under the Mining Act are uniformly charged 23s.

All advertisements should be written on one side of the paper, and signatures, &c., should be written in a legible hand.

The number of insertions required must be written across the face of the advertisement.

The New Zealand Gazette is published on Thursday evening in each week, and notices for insertion must be received by the Government Printer before three o’clock of the day preceding publication.

Communications should be addressed to the Government Printer, Wellington, to whom post-office money-orders should be made payable. Cheques should be crossed “Public a/c,” and exchange added.

Postage- or duty-stamps cannot be received in payment from any place at which postal notes or post-office orders are issued.

Prepayment may be demanded in any case. In order to prevent delay in publication a sufficient remittance should accompany every advertisement. Any surplus will be returned with receipted account.
