Notice of Request to amend Specification.

Wellington, 14th September, 1898.
A REQUEST for leave to amend the specification (including drawings) relating to the under-mentioned application for Letters Patent has been received, and is open to public inspection at this office. Any person may at any time within one month from the date of this Gazette give me notice in writing of opposition to the amendments. Such notice must set forth the particular grounds of objection, and be in duplicate. A fee of 10s. is payable thereon.
No. 5882.—8th November, 1892.—WILLIAM TOOGOOD, of Featherston, New Zealand, Storekeeper. Toogood’s improved combined fibre dressing, cleansing, scutching, and hacking machine.
The nature of the proposed amendments is as follows:—
To insert the following words, &c., in page 3: viz., “comprising levers l¹ fulcrumed freely upon pivots l², and having weights l³ which cause the pivot l⁴ to spring or press against the rollers L, L, L, L. By means of the scrapers the rollers are kept free of fibre, which is carried onwards, and not allowed to cling to and wrap around the rollers,” after the word “attachment,” line 8; and “through the side opening n¹” after the word “débris,” line 11.
To make certain additions to the drawings.
The applicant states: “My reasons for making these amendments are as follows: To more particularly describe and illustrate my invention.”
