Six miles from Kaikoura by road.

About seven miles and a half from Kaikoura by road.

About eleven miles from Kaikoura, by formed road and river-bed.

SECOND-CLASS LAND.

On lower portion there are patches of clearing; fairly good grass; the timber on the lower portion is fairly heavy, comprising a considerable quantity of rimu, matai, miro, hinau, kahikatea, pukapuka, and red-birch; 100 acres of indifferent tussock land at the back; about 300 acres of steep rocky spurs, practically useless, remainder, although stony in places, is fair bush land, and comprises some good flat on the southern parts; well watered; altitude, 500 ft. to 3,585 ft. About nine miles from Kaikoura by road.
