I, the Newhaven Gold-mining Company as a limited company under the provisions of “The Mining Companies Act, 1894.”

  1. The name of the company is to be the Newhaven Gold-mining Company (Limited).
  2. The place of intended operations is at Victoria Range, in the County of Inangahua, in the Colony of New Zealand.
  3. The registered office of the company will be situated at Bridge Street, Township of Reefton, in the county aforesaid.
  4. The nominal capital of the company is twenty-four thousand pounds, divided into twenty-four thousand shares of one pound sterling each.
  5. The number of shares subscribed for is twenty thousand five hundred and seventy-one.
  6. The number of paid-up shares is nil.
  7. The amount already paid up is nil.
  8. The name of the Manager is James Frederick Clark.

In placing before shareholders the report and balance-sheet for half-year to 31st December, 1897, the directors have to congratulate them on the satisfactory position of the company. The weather having been favourable for sluicing, the results are the best yet obtained for any half-year.
