NOTICE is hereby given that a petition for the winding-up of the above-named company by the Supreme Court was, on the seventh day of July, 1898, presented to his Honour Sir James Prendergast, Knight, Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, by Walter Scott Reid, Esquire, Attorney-General of our Lady the Queen for the Colony of New Zealand, for and on behalf of our said Lady the Queen, who is a creditor of the said company; and the said petition is directed to be heard before a Judge of the said Court at Wellington on the twenty-ninth day of July, 1898; and any creditor or contributory of the said company desirous to oppose the making of an order for the winding-up of the said company under the above Act should appear at the time of hearing by himself or his counsel for that purpose; and a copy of the petition will be furnished to any creditor or contributory of the said company requiring the same by the undersigned on payment of the regulated charge for the same.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR A ROAD.
In the matter of “The Public Works Act, 1894”; and in the matter of a certain piece of land, being part of Section No. 176, Huirangi District.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Board has decided to deviate the Te Arei and Clarke Roads, and that, in pursuance of “The Public Works Act, 1894,” a copy of the plan showing the portion of Section 176, Huirangi District, required for such deviation, and to be taken for that purpose, is open for inspection at the residence of Thomas Western, in the said district; and it is hereby further notified that all persons affected by such proposed works and taking are required to set forth in writing any well-grounded objections to the execution of such work or to the taking of such land, and to send such writing within forty days from the first publication of this notice to the Waitara West Road Board, at Lepperton, in Taranaki.
