"The Native Land Court Act, 1894."
IN THE NATIVE LAND COURT OF NEW ZEALAND.
In the matter of Mangakakahi No. 2, and Pohoatua No. 2 or Rimurere, and of an application by Nohotakitahi Wereta Pou under section 39 of “The Native Land Court Act, 1894.”
WHEREAS the said application was referred by me to the Native Land Court for inquiry and report, and such inquiry was held at Auckland on the 23rd day of May, 1898, before Herbert Frank Edger, Esquire, a Judge of the said Court: And whereas, as the result of such inquiry, it appeared that through an error in the plan produced to the Court on the hearing of the application of Wereta Pou, since deceased, for investigation of the title to Rimurere, the Court, by its order dated the 6th day of July, 1885, awarded Mangakakahi No. 2 to the said Wereta Pou by the name of Rimurere, instead of Pohoatua No. 2, which is the land properly known by that name:
Now, therefore, for the purpose of remedying the said error, and in exercise of the power vested in me as Chief Judge of the said Court by section 39 aforesaid, I hereby order that the said order of the 6th day of July, 1885, and any certificate of title issued thereon, and all orders subsequently made by the Native Land Court affecting Mangakakahi No. 2, whether under that name or under the name of Rimurere, be and the same hereby are annulled, and that the Court do, on the application of the persons entitled, proceed to hear and determine the title to Mangakakahi No. 2 and Pohoatua No. 2 or Rimurere as if the said order of the 6th day of July, 1885, and the other orders hereby cancelled had not been made.
I direct that this order be notified in the Gazette and Kahiti.
As witness my hand, this 21st day of June, 1898.
GEO. B. DAVY, Chief Judge.
