Land brought within the Jurisdiction of the Native Land Court.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this eleventh day of July, 1898.
Present:
His Excellency the Governor in Council.
WHEREAS the ownership of the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto requires to be ascertained, and it is also necessary to determine the relative shares or interests of the Native owners of the said land :
And whereas it is expedient that the said several matters should be brought within the jurisdiction of the Native Land Court in order that the same may be effectively dealt with :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by “The Native Land Court Act, 1894,” and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby order and declare that the investigation and determination of the ownership of the land described in the Schedule hereto, and of the relative shares or interests of any Natives therein, and also the determination of any matter or question which may arise in relation to the premises, or which it shall be necessary to determine for the purpose aforesaid, shall be and the same are hereby brought within the jurisdiction of the Native Land Court established under the said Act.
And it is hereby further declared that this Order shall take effect on and after the sixteenth day of July, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-eight.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that piece or parcel of land, situate in and being part of Section No. 544 on the plan of the City of Wellington, the boundaries of which are as follows, that is to say: Bounded by a line commencing at the north-eastern corner of Section No. 541 on the plan of the said city, and extending in a north-easterly direction along Thorndon Quay for a distance of 95 links, more or less; thence along a line bearing 294° 1′ to the eastern boundary of Section No. 542 on the plan of the said city; and thence along the eastern boundary of the said Section No. 542, 100 links, more or less, to the point of commencement.

Revoking Order in Council licensing A. Stenhouse to occupy a Part of Foreshore of Kaiarara and Wairahi Creeks, Port Fitzroy.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this eleventh day of July, 1898.

His Excellency the Governor in Council.
WHEREAS by Order in Council dated the first day of August, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-four, and published in the New Zealand Gazette, No. 89, of the seventh day of the same month, His Excellency the Governor in Council did, in pursuance of the provisions of “The Harbours Act Amendment Act, 1883,” license Andrew Stenhouse, of Auckland (hereinafter called “the licensee”), to use and occupy a part of the foreshore of the Kaiarara and Wairahi Creeks, Port Fitzroy, for the purpose of erecting and maintaining booms in the position shown on, and in accordance with, plans marked M.D. 906 and 907, and deposited in the office of the Marine Department at Wellington :
And whereas the licensee has committed a breach of clause two of the conditions of the said Order in Council of the first day of August, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-four, by failing to pay the annual sum of two pounds in respect of each boom specified therein :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, and in exercise of all the powers enabling him in that behalf, doth hereby revoke and determine the said recited Order in Council, and every right, power, and privilege conferred thereby or intended so to be.
