the said things in connection with the burgess lists or rolls
of the said Borough of Pahiatua, and doth declare that the
times for the doing of such several things shall be those
which are specified in the Schedule hereunder.

1. Burgess list to be made out on or before the 5th July,
3. Burgess and defaulters’ list open for inspection, and
   delivery of objections thereto, until the 22nd July, 1898.
4. Inspection of lists of objections, from the 23rd July,
   1898, to the 30th July, 1898.
5. Sitting of Council to determine claims and objections,
   between the 1st August, 1898, and the 15th August, 1898.
6. Burgess roll to come into force on the 16th August,

Notice of the Election of Members of the Board of Conciliation
for the Westland Industrial District.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred upon me by “The Industrial Conciliation
and Arbitration Act, 1894,” I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of
Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do
hereby notify that

DAVID BLACKADDER, of Reefton, Blacksmith, and
JOSEPH HOLLOWS, of Denniston, Miner,

have been duly elected members of the Board of Conciliation in and for the Westland Industrial District, vice John
Andrew Millar and John Tressman, resigned.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor,
this sixth day of July, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-eight.

Rural Lands in the Marlborough Land District open for Sale or Selection.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the one-hundred-and-thirty-sixth section
of “The Land Act, 1892,” I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand,
having received the report of the Surveyor-General in this behalf, as in the said section is provided, do hereby declare
that the rural lands enumerated in the Schedule hereto shall be open for sale or selection on and after the seventh day
of September, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-eight; and also that the lands mentioned in the said Schedule
may, at the option of the applicant, be purchased for cash, or be selected for occupation with right of purchase or on
lease in perpetuity, or, in respect of any land containing or supposed to contain any metal, mineral, or valuable stone,
be selected on lease in perpetuity only; and I do hereby also fix the prices at which the said lands shall be sold, occupied,
or leased, as mentioned in the said Schedule hereto, and do declare that the said lands shall be sold, occupied, or leased
under and subject to the provisions of “The Land Act, 1892.”

Principally mixed bush, with birch ridges; about 100 acres open and grassed; well watered. Eighteen miles from
