A PROCLAMATION.
I N pursuance of the power and authority conferred upon
me by the one-hundred-and-sixty-eighth section of
“ The Land Act, 1892,” I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ran-
furly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do
hereby proclaim and declare that the allotments of Crown
land respectively described in the Schedule hereto shall be
and the same are hereby set apart and declared open for
lease as village-homestead allotments.

said Colony, at the Government House, at Wel-
ington, this seventeenth day of June, in the year
of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and
ninety-eight.

Grazing-runs under “The Land Act, 1892.”

A PROCLAMATION.
B Y virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities
vested in me by the one-hundred-and-seventy-second
section of “ The Land Act, 1892,” and of every other power
and authority enabling me in that behalf, I, Uchter John
Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New
Zealand, do hereby declare that the land mentioned in the
Schedule hereto shall be subject to the provisions of sections
one hundred and seventy-two to one hundred and eighty-six
of Part V. of “ The Land Act, 1892,” relating to small
grazing-runs.
SCHEDULE.
HAWKE’S BAY LAND DISTRICT.—WAIROA COUNTY.
ALL that area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, containing
by admeasurement 16,684 acres, more or less, situated in
the Mangahopai, Waitara, and Mohaka Survey Districts.
Bounded towards the north by the Maungataniwha and Te
Putere Blocks; towards the east by the Rotokakarangu
No. 2 Block; towards the south by the Mohaka River; and
towards the west by the Mohaka and Te Hoe Rivers.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right
Honourable Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly;
Knight Commander of the Most Distinguished
Order of Saint Michael and Saint George;
Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over
Her Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its
