Lands taken for a Road in the Parish of Onewhero, Raglan County.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the lands mentioned in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken, under “The Public Works Act, 1894,” for a certain work, to wit, the construction of a road:

And whereas the Raglan County Council has laid before the Governor the memorial, accompanied by a map, required by the said Act:

Now, therefore, I, James Prendergast, Knight, Chief Justice, in the name and on behalf of His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, and as his duly appointed Deputy, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities in me vested by section twenty-six of “The Public Works Act, 1894,” and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in that behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that, from and after the date of the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, the lands mentioned in the Schedule hereto are hereby taken for the purposes of the construction of the said road.

In the Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked as above mentioned, deposited in the Head Office of the Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.

Given under the hand of Sir James Prendergast, Knight, Chief Justice, for and on behalf of His Excellency the Governor, and as his duly appointed Deputy in and over Her Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this eleventh day of May, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ninety-eight.

WHEREAS the lands mentioned in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken, under “The Public Works Act, 1894,” and its amendments, for a certain work, the construction of roads in the Ngatarawa No. 2a and No. 4 Blocks, Heretaunga Survey District:

And whereas the Hawke’s Bay County Council has laid before the Governor a memorial, accompanied by a map, and also the statutory declaration required by the said Act:

Now, therefore, I, James Prendergast, Knight, Chief Justice, in the name and on behalf of His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, and as his duly appointed Deputy, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities in me vested by “The Public Works Act, 1894,” and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in that behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that, from and after the date of the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, the lands mentioned in the Schedule hereto are hereby taken for the purposes of the said roads.

The parcels of land mentioned hereunder:—

In the Hawke’s Bay Land District; as the said parcels of land are more particularly delineated on the plan marked S.G. 38166, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.

Given under the hand of Sir James Prendergast, Knight, Chief Justice, for and on behalf of His Excellency the Governor, and as his duly appointed Deputy in and over Her Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this eleventh day of May, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ninety-eight.
