NOTICE is hereby given that the Registered Office of the Hauraki Peninsula Exploration Gold-mining Company (Limited) has been transferred from Legal Chambers, Queen Street, to Curran Street, Ponsonby, at which latter place the business of the said company will be conducted in future.

NOTICE is hereby given that the New Zealand Exploration Company (Limited) intends to cease to carry on business in the Colony of New Zealand at the expiration of three months from the first publication of this notice.

I, THE undersigned, hereby make application to register the Maori Point Sluicing Company (No Liability) as a no-liability company under the provisions of “The Mining Companies Act, 1894.”

  1. The name of the company is to be the Maori Point Sluicing Company (No Liability).

  2. The place of operations is on the Greenstone Creek, near Kumara, in the Provincial District of Westland.

  3. The registered office of the company will be situated at 140, Hereford Street, Christchurch, in the Provincial District of Canterbury.

  4. The value of the company’s property, including claim, leased ground, and machinery, is seven thousand five hundred pounds.

  5. The number of shares in the company is thirty thousand, of one pound each.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO CONSTRUCT WATER-RACE.

Otago Mining District,
25th April, 1898.

To the Warden at Waikaia.

WE hereby give notice that we intend to construct a water-race to divert and use water for mining purposes, commencing at a point marked by a post situate on line of Race No. 2390/96, about midway between pegs 273 and 274 on such race-line, and terminating at a point marked by a post situate between pegs Nos. 280 and 281 of same race-line.

The length of such race is 36 chains 75 links or thereabouts, and its intended course is from north to south for 18 chains, thence east to west, through Section 18, Block II., Nokomai, the property of one Thomas Muirhead.

The mean depth of such race is 4 ft., and the mean breadth is 5 ft., and it is proposed to divert forty Government heads of water.

Cost of construction : £150.

Time required for construction : Twelve months.

Number and date of miner’s right (consolidated) : 28172 ; 15th December, 1897.
