order that, from and after the date hereof, the boundaries of the Land Registration Districts of Auckland, Hawke’s Bay, and Wellington shall be as described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
AUCKLAND LAND REGISTRATION DISTRICT.
Bounded towards the north and north-east generally by the sea: towards the south-east generally by the eastern and south-eastern boundaries of Whangaparaoa No. 2 Block, the eastern and southern boundaries of Waikura Block, and the south-eastern boundary of Kumi No. 1 Block to Whanakao Trig. Station; thence by the summit of the leading range to Purahotakaha Trig. Station; thence by a right line in the direction of Puketoetoe Trig. Station to the Motu River; thence by that river to a point due east of the south-eastern corner of Whitikau No. 2 Block; thence by a right line to that corner; thence by the southern boundaries of Whitikau No. 2 and No. 3A Blocks, by the south-eastern boundaries of Oamaru Nos. 7, 6, 5/2, and 1 Blocks, and the south-eastern boundary of the last-mentioned block produced to the western boundary of Tahoma No. 2 Block; thence by the western boundary of that block and by the Waipaoa Block, the northern and western shores of Waikaremoana to a point in line with the north-western boundary of Block V., Waiau Survey District (education reserve); thence by a right line to and by that boundary-line and by the north-western boundary-line of Section No. 1, Block VIII., Mangahopai Survey District, to the Waiau River; thence by that river to the north-western boundary of Maungataniwha Block; thence by that block and the Te Hoe River to the northern boundary of Tatara-o-kina Block: thence towards the south generally by Tatara-o-kina, Tarawera, Te Matai, and Te Matai No. 1 Blocks, by the Mohaka River, the Oamaru Stream, and Tapapa No. 2 Block, by the Ngaruroro River, and by Kaimanawa No. 1f, Kaimanawa No. 2b, and Te Hautu Blocks to Lake Taupo; thence by a right line to the mouth of the Kuratou Stream; thence by that stream, by the north-western boundary of the Oraukura Block, and the south-eastern boundaries of the Ruamata, Pukepoto, and Waione Blocks to the Wanganui River, by a line along the middle of that river to its intersection by a right-line running from a point where the 39th parallel of south latitude intersects the Wanganui River to the source of the Mokau River; thence by that line to the source of the said Mokau River, and by a line along the middle of that river to the ocean: and thence towards the west and south-west generally by the ocean to the place of commencement: including the adjacent islands and the Kermadec Islands.
HAWKE’S BAY LAND REGISTRATION DISTRICT.
Bounded towards the north and east generally by the sea: towards the south generally by a line along the middle of the Waimata Stream and the south-western boundary-line of Section No. 1, Block XIII., Tautane Survey District, to Trig. Station 39A; thence by the southern boundaries of Weber, Tahoraite, and Woodville Survey Districts to the Manawatu River, and by a line along the middle of that river to the Manawatu Gorge: thence towards the west generally by the summit of the Ruahine Range to the northern boundary of the Awarua Block; thence by that boundary to the Makirikiri Stream, by that stream, the Ikaawetea Stream, and the Taruarau River to the northern boundary of the Timahanga Block; thence by that block and the Ngaruroro River to the Auckland District hereinbefore described, and by that district to the sea: including the adjacent islands.
WELLINGTON LAND REGISTRATION DISTRICT.
Bounded towards the north by the Auckland District hereinbefore described; towards the east and again towards the north by the Hawke’s Bay District hereinbefore described; towards the south-east and south and towards the west and south-west by the sea, and again towards the west generally by the Taranaki District: including the adjacent islands, and the Chatham Islands.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-sixth day of April, 1898.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by the twenty-second section of “The Land Act, 1892,” certain land districts are defined, but it is provided that the Governor by Order in Council, if he shall deem it necessary, may from time to time alter the boundaries of any land district as he shall think fit:
And whereas it is desirable to alter the boundaries of the Auckland, Hawke’s Bay, and Wellington Land Districts:
Now, therefore, I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon me by the hereinbefore in part recited Act, and by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, do hereby direct and declare that, from and after the date hereof, the boundaries of the said Land Districts of Auckland, Hawke’s Bay, and Wellington shall be such as are described in the Schedule hereto.
